Randle at the 5 is the move

I just worry about him getting banged up having to go against 5s.

Do think however that the team should definitely have an OG, Randle, Mikal, Donte, and Brunson line up getting regular minutes together.

OK, it's official. I'm now a Steve Kerr fan. Greg Popovich a close second.

That whole stat is they have KP. There isn’t a clear answer for KP, but in any scenario it would still involve one or the centers on the team guarding him. OG and Randle are way too important as forwards on the team to risk their health at center.

I wish he was capable of that. He certainly views himself as more of a 3 than a 5. I’d actually make him a 5 too, but I doubt he can do it (Towns can).

I don't see the concern, he's bigger/stronger than Siakam who has spent a ton of time at the 5 the last 3 seasons. He was even starting full-time at center before they traded for Powell.

We have all the ingredients to play 5 out, it's up to the coach to do it.

Randle played the 5 a lot as a Laker and was good defensively. I remember posting about it when I was calling for the Knicks to sign him before the Pelicans snatched him. Maybe with Mitch's injury, it will force Thibs to try out Randle at the 5

That's a very nice mix of D & O. Anything we might lose on D with Randle at the 5 would probably be more than made up for with the O there - IF Randle buys in.

Also most nights OG could guard the 5 in small ball lineups if needed with having Mikal now rather than have Randle as the primary defender.

I think Randle not only buys in but will do anything Thibs asks to help this team win. The Randle we saw in January was thriving.
