Randle has the worst playoff PER in NBA History of any player putting up 12 shot attempts.

Read on Twitter

through the fourth quarter, Randle made a layup and, as he ran back to the other end of the court, gave the sellout crowd a thumbs down as they cheered his name.

When asked after the game what message he was trying to get across to the fans, Randle didn't mince his words.

"Shut the f--- up," he said.

"Next season, Tom Thibodeau will be without his right-hand man and Scott King, the player development coach and challenge guru.

You might remember King from his Feb. 2022 altercation with Julius Randle. King, who was an assistant video coordinator, tried to show Randle something on his laptop. Randle slapped the computer, and King responded with words of his own"

Image

"Amidst Randle's argument with the ref, his teammate, Immanuel Quickley, was trying to calm him down. Unfortunately, it led to Quickley getting yelled at by Randle.

The video clearly shows Randle taking out his frustration on Quickley at halftime. Randle is considered the leader of the team, and he certainly needs to do better to fulfill that role for the team."

Knicks’ Julius Randle not helping cause with media silent treatment

Image

"The Knicks encouraged the press to write that the club did not make Randle available. That seems farfetched, because Randle’s media boycott has been going on too long for anyone to believe that.

That was an accumulation fine because Randle had blown off the media after eight of the past nine games".

You're diabolical. Knowing your hate is so intense you have a Randle soldier with links to sht to post is hilarious. I don't feel passionate enough about any player to have a folder or links like that. I'm just impressed.

On a sidenote I kinda want to take back the nice sht I said about randle seeing him yell at iq like that. What a jerk. Though what stands out is jHart putting his arm around iq. It let iq know he wasn't alone and got Randle to back off. Nothing but love for jHart forever.

There's an art to being an effective hater. It's not even necessarily about hating the player.

For example, Each time Randle slander is executed correctly, it's kind of like doing this to the Standles.....over ....and over...and over .....

Randle is a fine 3rd option on a team. His play correlates with two things: point guard play, and his health. Since he is hurt now, maybe he is healthy for the playoffs for the first time and he can start putting these numbers right.

Ran_le is a fine bench player.

As a starter, his gimmicky empty stats style of play and lazy defense get easily exposed in the playoffs.

We have not seen a healthy Randle in the playoffs with a functional point guard. As long as he isn't in a position to do too much, he will be a great weapon, great Robin over there.

You protect the team from Ran_le's low IQ shenanigans by limiting his role: bringing him off the bench and being careful with using him in crunch time.

Especially since Naz is >>>>> than Ran_le.

It was a thing of beauty watching Naz get comfortable in that starting role as they demolished the Thunder.

Wolves are moving Ran_le if he doesn't opt out and sign somewhere else.

IDK man, you are selling Randle short. Reid is also a good player and is probably the main reason Wolves were willing to part with KAT.

Randle is an all-star level player. Wasn't just a one time flash in a pan. Wolves are fortunate to have the big man rotation that they have.

I think you're overrating Ran_le. Not an All-star level player anymore. He's toxic and washed. Team killer.

Leon fleeced the Wolves into thinking Ran_le can replace KAT's production/impact for less $$$.

They're trapped because they can't bench him after they sold the fans on him being = KAT but with "toughness". He's either traded or they let him walk in FA.

Ran_le is best suited as a 6th man. Always has been. His play style is easily exposed in the playoffs.

Learning a new team is usually an adjustment. Luka may have to learn his new team etc. AFter a rough patch, Randle was doing well for the Wolves until the injury.

The problem is that there is absolutely no data for a Julius Randle at 80% health in the playoffs as an off the ball player. You want to chastise him for playing at 40%? That's a Thibs problem. you want to chastise him for how he played with Elf and Burks as his point guards? live your life. I chose to look at not just raw data but the context around it.

Randle may have a chance to prove one of us wrong soon. We will see...

Kobe Bryant had a 20 year NBA career. 16 of those years Kobe was in the playoffs.

4x he missed the playoffs, with 3 of those seasons being his final 3 years leading to retirement.

1 season of Kobe's prime he missed the playoffs. 1 season....just one.

Ran_le is 30 years old and has been to the playoffs 2x, and proved to be the worst playoff performer in history.

Comparing Ran_le to Kobe is simply unserious.

The worst record a Kobe Bryant team ever had in Kobe's entire career was a 17-win team led by none other than: Julius Ran_le.

Kobe saw that ninja play and said "F#$& this $##&" and immediately retired after that.

Julius Ran_le, torpedoing teams and forcing players into retirement since 1879.

Two nights ago I dreamt I was on a skiing vacation with RJ.

What was strange was there was no talk about hoops and it was like a normal vacation with a friend.

Every run we would race each other down the mountain and every time I beat him by a bigger margin.

The last thing I remember before waking up was RJ demanding to know how I kept improving on every downhill run.

I never dream about hoops or Knicks players so it was odd being in a dream with RJ.

You have missed my point entirely.
My point was that a true great, Kobe, also had bad outcomes with a poor fit around him. Look at how he did the first year after Shaq until Lakers Lakered there way into Pau Gasol.

The comp that has always been there for Randle is Zach Ranolph. Randolph was highly successful with a good team with player around him that complimented what he did well. Marc Gasol was a better player, but also enabled Randolph to be the best version of himself. Randle is much the same. As a #2 to a top star (let's say Shai) or a #3 to a good two-star club (Embiid, Maxey) he would be ideal.

He was obviously great with us last year.

I'm not in this thread for "good faith" arguments about Ran_le. That ship has sailed...I'm here for the slander.

Going back and forth about the Ran_le's coulda shoulda wouldas is just inefficient posting in a thread like this.

Everything you said about him has been said 1000x over the years by many Kendra Standles; layers of excuses.

And Ran_le and Kobe should never be mentioned in the same sentence to make a player comparison for ANY reason...that's just plain basketball heresy......no justifying that.
