williams offense will be fine in the triangle, the biggest questions about his game is if he can play d and rebound. i wont be suprised if porzingis outplays him in training camp and starts at the 4

I thought his ability to hit the corner three and his off ball cuts, attacks to the basket and finishing from that corner-under the basket area supplied by KOQ n Rolo passing in triangle would be pretty good we shall see

So I dream Gallo and in the day, he signs an extension. Hopefully we will trade for Nowitzki before Super Mario Chalmers

We need a proven vet post scorer like Boozer. He is definitely a good fit for us.

How? In Mygm? Doesnt he automatically resign with Cavs? Well I am not gonna play it again actually, remember drafting KAT, Okafor and Russell together and signing Middleton n RJax to very cheap deals lol

lol i did it in nba 2k13... i was using the mavs and this was my third seasons i got lebron dirk paul pierce tony parker wilson chandler luis scola and paul george. carmelo also left the knicks to replace lebron on the heat lol

Typical Heat. I never played with a different team than Knicks in those modes man thought it would be awkward, prefered fantasy drafts if I wanted to change things up a bit.

We need to use that $2.8mil room exception ASAP and get a 2nd string scorer off the bench. Early in your 2nd string isn't really a good idea, he isn't ready for real minutes yet.

Therefore, I can live with Boozer or Beasley. Knuckleheads who suck on defense but the talent is worth it for such a cheap price (especially if its a 1-year deal... then we literally have nothing to lose)

PG: Calderon/Grant
SG: Afflalo/Galloway
SF: Melo/D. Williams
PF: Porzingis/Boozer
C: Lopez/O'Quin

or

PG: Calderon/Grant
SG: Afflalo/Galloway
SF: Melo/Beasley
PF: Porzingis/D. Williams
C: Lopez/O'Quin

and then you have players like Cleanthony Early, Lou Amundson, Lance Thomas and probably a pair of guards rounding out the end of the bench for garbage minutes.

P.S. I would rather start Grant over Calderon but i've come to accept that there is very little chance Phil and Fish will do that

Indiana Pacers are a lottery team this year. I'd try to work a trade for Paul George even if includes future picks.

Indy isn't trading PG just yet. They'll at least wait till the deadline to see where the team is & what there options are. I'd assume if we do offer something, Bird will absolutely request Porzingis in our offer + future picks & salary filler. Not sure how impactful PG-13 will be this year, so I'd save my opinion of a trade like that to myself for the time being.

Can't believe Gallinari is about to make 17M a while Wilson will make less than 12M a year. They have about the same production with Will slightly ahead in terms of defense and staying healthy.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.

Last 1/4 of the season where he was fully healthy he was a hell of a player for the Nuggets - I'd throw February in there also, but he was still working his way back from the Nuggets' medical **** with him. IIRC, they also are a ways away from hitting the cap floor and giving the money to Gallo is a good bet with low risk (because the money had to go somewhere anyway - might as well give it to someone who has shown he can be a great player for them).

Edit -- check his splits -- he literally got better month by month...which makes sense coming back from what the Nuggets' dumb medical staff did to him.

He was decent in March, and had a good April which lasted 6 games. I don't place any significance in his April stretch because their season was over at that point...a lot of decent players end up putting up good numbers in April when the games have zero meaning. He's ok...nothing special. His contract is pretty funny IMO, but average players are getting a lot of money these days so it is what it is.

You can't just disregard 6 games because "their season was over." Players still go out every game trying to win. I'd like to see a list of players who "put up good numbers in April when the games have zero meaning." Curious as to what you will find...if anything.

IIRC, Gallo actually has better defensive stats (and this makes sense watching games, too - Wilson is a great athlete, but has a VERY limited understanding on how to play defense). Wilson has health on him, that's all.

They just missed playoffs last year with a net negative at C and with essentially no PG. No idea why people are sleeping on them. They need a PF, but that defense will still be elite and they added a HUGE scoring punch they lacked in previous years in Ellis. I HIGHLY doubt they are a lotto team. Even if they were, why the hell would Bird trade their franchise guy...? Makes no sense at all.

I don't see them being that good either. They lost their defensive frontline and while they regained Paul George, I don't think the increased offense with Ellis will offset it. I think they hover around the 8th seed.

That's not true. Everybody knows April is Fools gold. I've even heard that a ton of NBA execs completely ignore all players that only showed life in April (like, for example, Zach LaVine). Half the league is coasting, nearly half is tanking, and only like 5 teams are fighting for playoffs spots.

A net negative at C that led them to a top 10 defense (again) and a PG who when he got healthy had the team on a 50+ win pace. They're going to be bad next season because they're too stupid to realize George Hill is probably the best offensive option on the roster.

If you want to use defensive win shares, fine, but don't tell me Wilson Chandler is a bad defender. He moves his feet well and stay with his man as attested by his steal and block stats.
