But some of you treated Ewing the exact same way you treat Melo. Unrelenting bashing and bitterness.

It's no wonder Ewing felt like he was never fully respected and chose to gtfo out of NY.

Give it a rest.

Here is how it went because you seem to be confused.

1. Houston makes offer to Lin.
2. Lin presents offer to NY.
3. Our front office being the keystone cops that they are told Lin that they will match. Instead of saying nothing until they got an official offer.
4. Lin goes back to Houston and says they are going to match - do you want to up the offer?
5. Houston ups offer.
6. Dolan says FU you sneaky chinaman GTFO.

I'm pissed at what happened at steps, 3, 4, 5 and 6. But don't leave Lin out of the equation. He pulled a fast one.

Hello, disgusting racist. I clicked on "report this post" but it said it had already been reported. Too bad multiple people can't weigh in, but at least I know I'm not alone in my reaction.

You don't know me, so don't call me a racist. When I said "sneaky chinaman" that's my interpretation of what Dolan is thinking.

Grow up!

now that's a new and creative way to get slurs in there. put them in other people's imagined thoughts. glad I know the new rule.

I sure know what I saw from Carmelo last year, with my own eyes. A bricklayer who put his team in a huge hole, and then quit on the team until the coach got fired. When I watch Griffin, I like what I see.

Jeez. take off the myopic glasses. Here are some numbers, ya know facts for your delusions:

1) Feb: Lin 21ppg, 4 reb, 8.4 assists on 47% shooting and 33% 3 pt fg

2) mar: Lin 15ppg, 3 rebs, 6.3 assists on 41% shooting and 33 3pt %

What that would say to any non-idiotic, non-hater is that he he continued to play well despite playing an incredible number of minutes and being driven to utter exhaustion.

And understand this: his truly great month was no normal hot streak. It was at a level that is extremely rare, and something that almost always indicates very good things about a player's career.
Fivethirtyeight did a piece on "players who had a run equal to Lin's at any point in their career" and it's almost all players who had excellent careers, including a lot of all stars and hall of famers. But I'm the myopic, delusional one here of course.

IM DONE.

You just made it sound like LIN is the second coming and you are his prophet.

I got it, LIN is one of the greatest players in the world in your mind. Nevermind, mario chalmers and norris cole prevented him from even getting the ball over half court.

I got it. Lin is great.

not a knick but he is still great. Houston team forum is thataway.

Understanding it's all speculation anyway, I think anyone think that this was about the money is misguided. The tremendous tonal change when an additional $5mm makes clear to me that MSG--dolan--were pissed and felt betrayed by Lin.

figured Lin would be a dead giveaway. cousins was the cherry on top though.

I was just

That's nice & all but you haven't answered my question as to how Blake is better than Melo

This.

While I think Ewing was better, yes, Ewing was basically chewed alive on a regular basis being blamed for just about everything wrong with the team. John Starks OTOH? Not until the 3-14 (or whatever) shooting night against the Rockets (where the Starks train finally fell off the tracks) was basically Lin like in that regard. But boy, once it went off the tracks...it went off the tracks from the fan POV. They essentially ran Starks out of town. It was actually sad seeing the confused look on Starks face when it happened.

Wade can't carry a team.

And Kobe isn't capable of it any more.
