I don't think Berman has intel with the Knicks thinking, but is anyone really doubting the Knicks are entertaining a thought of trading Frank on draft night?

Fizdale has indicated when the 6-foot-6 Ntilikina returns, he mostly will play wing, even mentioning power forward. The issue is moot if Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker signs with the Knicks, but there’s no way they can bank on a flip-flopping Irving.

Power Forward?

Probably means defensively. Every team switches and often teams will play a wing player as a 4 like we do with hezonja sometimes. I think this means we could see Knox at the 4 and Frank at the 3

Not sure what people said. Frank has sucked and sure he may not be in teams future plans.

Kampuchea you are in a serious state of denial if you don’t see all the signs flashing in your eyes that the Knicks do not view this kid as a point guard at all, let alone the starting PG of the future. They give everyone a shot but him. Obviously Perry isn’t enamored and they are acting accordingly.

There's 2 guys who are inconsistent offensively and not great playmakers.

One of those guys plays defense.

I'll keep the guy who plays defense and is a good team player as opposed to the legendary Dennis "poor man's Steve Francis" Smith Jr.

...but let Berman drop a KD/AD/Kyrie to NY article and all of a sudden his word is bond. Y’all can’t pick and choose when you deem him to be credible.

Definitely feeling that. Berman doesn’t know anything but Frank certainly hasn’t done anything to ensure a future here.

Better title is “Berman made up story, but do we think it could actually happen?”

Not sure if Berman keeps getting lauded for other articles?

Surely not by me. I rip him every time I see him being posted

Either way, Frank is viewed as a pretty good role player and not a pure PG by the team. I don’t know if that’s particularly surprising. Pretty good role players are nice to have but not must have players. I’d like to believe there’s a bigger future for Frank, but I’d be in denial if I didn’t accept there’s a good chance Frank will be shipped if there’s good deal out there.

Frank has been abysmal offensively and we can’t ignore that.

But i’ll wait to see what happens regarding the KD/Kyrie situation in free agency. I honestly would like to keep Frank and see if he can turn into a Marcus Smart type player. Just play him at SG offensively and have him guard the best PG or wing on defense. Kid at the very least needs to become a 36% 3pt shooter.

Also called them keeping Mudiay. So damn obvious.

How ridiculous is this?

Maybe they plan to trade Frank to shred some salary by picking a player who makes half his salary and has 5 roookie years ahead of him. We would trade him for a more long and cheap project.

In that scenario, we could sign Durant, Irving, a high first round pick and keep Trier.

Who on this team, outside of Mitch, isn't available for a first round pick?

I'll wait.

Idk if that title would be any better, most believe that anyway. I dont think Frank is worth a 1st, but perhaps a playoff team would offer and late 1st.

I just don't particularly care that Berman wrote this article.

We are the worst team in the league, isn’t most of the roster available?

Maybe we like Mitch and Trier enough where they’re off limits outside of an AD trade?

If you could get a top 20 or so pick for frank then I’d say ok. But anything below 20 we are just Giving someone away we aren’t giving the chance to develop and grow
