This...

People have this idea that DSjr won’t make a big leap. Not sure why.

Ima just say it. A lot of the DSJ hate comes from the Frank stans. Not sure why people can’t like both. Whatever. Ima just let my guy prove them wrong next season. He’s putting in the work. It’s gonna pay off

I'm pretty sure the DLo stans hate both DSJr AND Frank, if that makes you feel any better.

I'll say this - if it's happening, KD commits Sunday night-Monday morning. Then we rolling to the Kawhi meeting with something to sell other than market. If KD will drag his desicion well into the week it'll probably be somewhere else (with or without Kawhi). So at least we won't have to wait much to find out where this is going imo.

It’s funny. Out of all the free agents, Kawhi might be the only one willing to wait a year. He just won a ring (nothing to prove), plus to can continue rehabbing with his NY doctors to get 100%

I'd like to think Frank and other average young players have room to improve and will. However, these players usually just are who they are and don't suddenly become stars in the NBA.

Ok. Let's take it further. I haven't seen a PF REMOTELY close to what Randle does, on the Knicks, for a while. No, Noah Vonleh didn't and doesn't count. Right now, there is exactly ZERO PF's on the roster. Extending your logic, the Knicks should:

Max DLo
Max Randle

And call it a day.

And btw, again, the analogy for THJr is still on, because it's about paying a guy above his current value.

It's hilarious various people complain about the Knicks and their lack of fiscal restraint etc over the years, and the first moment FA hits and there's a whiff of disappointment, they want to throw the whole bag at two players who've been ok, then had ONE good year each.

This isn't minimizing or putting the players down. It's just I thought the smart teams saved the max money for the truly maximum guys and if not, rolled things over. And by maximum players, I'm saying HEALTHY KD or Kawhi, Kyrie, MAYBE Butler.

But since DLo is all that max salary wise, lets just throw the whole bag at Tobias Harris too.

He's still young. Only 4 years older than DLo. Also a PF. Position of need. At a position the Knicks "have no one truly qualified at".

And honestly, there are worse things the Knicks could do than going DLo\Randle or DLo\T Harris. Especially Harris, who at least put up 20ppg or close 2 or 3 seasons

The thing about THJ is that he is just a scorer and that's all, nothing else. On top of that he was not smart at what he does best and was inefficient as a #1. As a #3 with a smaller contract nobody here would really complain.

Both DLo and Randal bring more to the table. Both are great willing passers and neither are black holes on defense. May not be the best in team defense but can hold their own one on one. Randle is a great rebounder and can also push the ball up court like a guard. DLo is already an All Star level guard and is only getting better while Randle has also showed improvement. They're both still under 25 so getting them in our time line is perfect. Great plan B if we strike out.

Yes, of course both are better. It's really about risk. It could be a
a) great plan B
b)an ok plan B or
c)plan B with side order of regret

We can say the same about KD, he could be
A) great plan A
B) an ok plan B (Tobias Harris on super max)
C) "Oh soooooo we suck again!!!!" (STAT part 2)

You're way too high on Frank's defense

Just keep the space for 2021 summer if we aren’t getting KD, KI, or KL

It will be very hard to roll over the cap space until 2021. We have new contracts of Dotson, Trier, Ignas and Rookie FRP 2020. Besides cap holds of Dennis, Frank, Rookie FRP 2021 Knicks and Rookie FRP 2021 Dallas.

I need to find my post on how that raptor team was underrated- I don't feel like putting it together again- i knew I should have bookmarked it

Beal or Jrue Holiday
negatory  we cant get them...

Frank+Dotson
negatory- dont discount the experience and %

no...no...no...no-super underrated- go look at his defensive accomplishments..
we need someone that can play at the level he played at "S2K" 8-) ...

Don't know about mad but definitely will be worry because they have Jerry West and Doc Rivers in their meeting and Jerry West is the absolutely best at his job and always has been so you gotta worry about that. I wonder if we'll find out in what order the teams got their meetings. We know Toronto is last which is good for them.

We wouldn't either. You surround Kawhi with threats that can also defend.

Or, like, bring Frank in off the bench when the Knicks really want to shut a team down for 4 minutes.

He doesn't have to start.

Doesn't smells like there was tampering at all. Just stright bussiness following the rules. Silver can keep sleepwalk and focus on the real issues such as the "O word" and more women refs.

I'm sure you'll remember my words 8-) if such a deal is in place (and I think it might be because we clearly have enough assets), kai will come here even with an injured Durant. If no such deal is there, we're still a deep team with Kawhi, but he might not come. If you have Durant AND Beal, no one cares about Ibaka anymore.

My personal take his this i doubt kawhi comes to nyc i think he going to the clippers and all this kawi and durant teaming up is bunch of fake news. I think durant is going to chose one new york teams either the knicks or nets. Also durant has sold his california houses in los angles just this week doesn't seem like person going to los Angles if you sold 2 of your house over there. I can't wait until tomorrow at 6 pm when part of this chit will be figured out and we will know which insider is full of bull chit.

We didnt deal Frank because the offers werent good and we are not sure if we would need the cap space.
