Agreed. Hawks should have trusted their young guys to grow. Huerter Hunter and Reddish all showed semblance of promise but Gallo and Bogdanovic going to further reduce their playing time.

I don’t know if they are thinking of accumulating enough assets to trade for a star. Let’s see how that goes.

No ESPN highlights for Lamelo today. I wonder why.

Bunch of herbs.

Cole thoroughly outplayed LaMelo in their back to back.

Even if LaMelo had more points in the last game.

I was expecting LaMelo to struggle but I didn't expect Cole to thrive this early. Another demerit on my 2020 prognostications board.

Would have loved to see a Lamelo-quickley-rj-knox lineup
Oh well.....

We probably don’t have the 2nd 1st rd pick to draft Quickley or we probably would’ve drafted a big.

Personally I think they might win the eastern conference... that team is deep and talented.

Of course he has. We should have traded up for him - maybe we should still.

I still don't think so. It's I preseason and I think he's unskilled athletically as well as shooting the ball.

Just some of my late night takes I have to get off:

Hawks wasted tons of money this summer. Asking Capela to cover up that mess defensively is too much of a task. Gallinari has been a stiff for a while and is redundant with Bogie who was a complete waste of money for them and possibly the most overrated player on NBA Twitter. Do yourself a favor and pound their under on their win total unless they smarten up and play Reddish/Heurter/JC more Ya know their actual core... and flip Bogie or Gallo at the deadline. Complete empty calorie team from top to bottom.

Cole Anthony was over-scrutinized and underdrafted. Found himself in the perfect situation with a great coach for him.

LaMelo was easily the best player in this draft and both the TWolves and Dubs will regret their picks in less than 3 years possibly both trading them.

I had been off of Westbrook for a while but I think washington is actually a really good situation for him. I think the Wiz surprise and sneak into a top 6 seed. Beal is really good and I wouldn't be shocked if Westbrook rampages through the East and makes the conference finals :o There's a lot less top end guard depth in the East compared to the West. Look for them to try and trade for a top end big at the deadline. I think they're all in on Beal.

A non-sixers or heat team, in the East, gets Harden and emerges as the clear new Conference favorite. *looks at Milwaukee and specifically Khris Middleton*

This is the year Toronto falls off from contender status and sells at the deadline. No big man depth and the East is especially frisky this year. No margin for error. Lowry likely ends up in Philly or in Los Angeles IMO.

Kawhi demands a trade by midseason... Just a gut feeling on this. I don't like the chemistry issues from last year, pending lawsuit and NBA investigation, and not getting an outside voice to coach that team.

RJ Barrett is in the running for most improved player and challenges for an All-Star spot.

Philly is either a top 2 seed and a conference title favorite or trades one of Simmons or Embiid by the deadline. There's no in between for that team.

There's more but i'm tired

It burns having pushed for him on a meaningless message board, the type of player we need, so available, now to see him blow up somewhere else.

Lonzo is not a real bust. It is defined as such because of Lavar. He is actually pretty decent player tho.
