I was on the Deni bandwagon for a while but when you look closer what does he do really well?

You watch every credible scouting report and the scouts/analysts all seem to be talking themselves into him being a good prospect without really outlining why or without providing much substance... Just a bunch of platitudes about how he's a high IQ player but they don't actually compliment his game that much if you pay close attention. They focus more on what he doesn't do well.

The FT% is concerning. He won't survive in the NBA if he can't shoot the rock. I know the mechanics look good but they need to translate into percentages.

100% thats been my comp for him all along.

like LaVine both are great athletes, who can play the point, but are best suited as combo guards. LaVine was a better shooter coming out of college, but Hampton has overhauled his form and is looking much better

That’s the thing that keeps me second guessing myself. I really think we should be bad one more year and start adding win now pieces next summer but how do you turn down Westbrook for some of our trash? We’ve been bad for so long and he instantly gives us some credibility again. Plus It’s not like he had that bad of a season last year either but I know he’s not a championship type player. So I definitely understand the temptation and why we would be taking about it. Is missing out of three years of relevance worth the 14% chance at 10 years? Let’s just say, I’m glad I’m not Rose right now.

Exactly. Then why are the top 3 teams in the drafting trying to trades their picks. The value just isn't there for those guys. Better value is where we're at. I would like to move our 27 and 38 picks to get into the teens.
