As well as Rose has played, I still want to see the ball in IQ's hands more as a playmaker. We missed our chance at upgrading the PG spot with FVV, I hope we don't make the same mistake this summer and pass on Trent, but I have a feeling we're gonna get Oladipo which is the worst case scenario.
I think IQ is starting to get the ball in his hands more. Even Randle trusted him down the stretch. I’m not too worried.
And yeah Oladipo is my worst case scenario too. He’s really washed and still injury prone. Only upside to signing him is he can play defense but offensively he’s not that guy anymore. And he can’t shoot well, so he’s not the ideal fit next to RJ and Randle either. His shooting splits under Houston is awful. So far the Knicks FO hasn’t shown signs of doing something dumb like that though... so I’m still optimistic that we’re not getting him. For now. Lol
I want to see Quickley have to run the offense more, he needs the reps, he's being used more as an attacker now with Rose than before.
The FO resigned Payton, they have shown they don't necessarily care about shootingand it's not like Rose is a great shooter either. I think Oladipo will be the guy we go after, because he's attainable and has the name. The only reason why I'm hoping they don't is because we have Rose and they'll resign him, which takes the need of another slasher out of the equation. That's my hope at least, that would be an awful offseason if we end up with Victor.
I still think they resigned Payton with the hopes of DSJ beating him out for the starting spot. Obviously it didn’t work out lol
But yeah man, I’m with you on Oladipo. Just a terrible signing all around.
