You can bring the mental errors down to injury again. He just doesn’t have as many moves or the force in his arsenal anymore and it makes him more predictable and more easily fatigued overall.

In case anyone was doubting I did a little research for you guys.
That game against the Hornets where Dwight Howard was bullying the hell out of Porzingis and the refs weren’t calling anything was the last game KP was without a sleeve on his left elbow.
Before this game KP was averaging roughly 30ppg at 50% fg%. 8 out of 10 opening games he scored more than 30.
He missed the following game and then started wearing that elbow sleeve. Since wearing the sleeve he’s had only one game where he’s shot over 50% where he went 2 for 2 in 3 mins. Only 1 game out of 12 games over 30 points. Well under 50% fg%.

Good game for KP. Shooting still a little iffy though. Just 43%

Or maybe just maybe, hear me out now: Teams are figuring out his teammates suck and are giving KP less room to shot.
Just saying

Re: Porzingis thread #4: The KP era is upon us
They crowd him and push his hip on every shot. He gets the call 1/4 of the time. Teams bring an extra defender to swipe at the ball. He has to get better at quickly passing and swim moving the midget guarding him for a lob / back door. Or call for a DHO and rub screen the offending double teamer. Whatever he does he has to learn to do it quick, which for a 22 year old will come with experience. He's never been double teamed before, besides with Bambi and her girlfriends.

What happened to Flopzingis? Haven't seem him flop in weeks it seems. A lot of his offensive flow earlier in the year was coming from going to the free throw line but ever since he stopped trying to sell calls he hasn't been going to the line nearly enough.
DENVER NUGGETS
Jamal Murray/Ty Jerome/Dante Exum
Zach Lavine/Ochai Agbaji/Corey Kispert
Aaron Gordon/Josh Okogie/Javonte Green
Jakob Poeltl/Moussa Diabate/Karlo Matkovic
Ivica Zubac/Nick Richards/Oscar Tshiebwe

He barely gets the calls regardless and his big ass is too hurt to be throwing himself on the ground all the time.

He needs to work with King Curry in the off season. There is no way sleeve should make this big of a difference.

Anyone notice how swollen KP's elbow was tonight? It looked like someone put a tennis ball underneath his skin.

Just recalling now that I was the first person on this board to say KP was a generational talent.
I said it during KP's first pre-season. People went bonkers.
This board was completely savage and I was attacked by over a dozen posters. Some of whom who are posting here tonight.
I may not be a great X's and O's guy, but the one thing I'm excellent at is spotting the matrix of talent + mindset. That combination is necessary and it continues to baffle me how it eludes so many fans.
KP has that talent and drive.
Frank has it too.
And Frank is even smarter a ball player than KP which will benefit the unicorn greatly.
Frank is going to a star in his own right.
I expect posters to be kinder and gentler this time around.

I don't think KP shoots to the top of most draft boards if this wasn't the general consensus. He was always a high reward draft pick that needed time to develop. Of course there were some idiots at the draft booing, but there are always idiots. TBH, I learned more good things on this board about KP prior to him being drafted than negative things. This is the same with Frank as well. A lot of good information was passed about Frank on this board. Give these guys some credit. Rather read this board than the NYPost

You get the spectrum here and solid ideas that are formulated and articulated here first often end up in the media publications later. But we also have lots of knee jerkers who use the word trash after a single play.

The one good game over every 4-5 isnt a eat crow type of deal. If he can start rebounding, start taking less shots while increasing efficiency- come back.

one good game over 4-5? The guy was clearly getting over an injury after that incredible start he had. When guys like Kanter and THJr are hurt who else is going to score and open the game up for? Nobody. He's had 2 incredible games and the efficiency was solid tonight.Billy Goat wrote:Yankeeknickfan wrote:Billy Goat wrote:Committing to this guy long term would be a mistake. no. it's still a stupid ass thought to have, even if you don't think he's a number 1 guy. you need more than one star to win in this league, genius.
