Both Kawhi and AD are still options. All is not lost.

Are the Nets interested in Durant now?

It's "ruptured"? Usually, players go down and are in agony, writhing on the floor in incredible pain. I didn't see that with KD. To me, it looked only like an ankle tweak.

there is not a homegrown star out of Knox, RJ, and Mitch. They might be good complimentary pieces but none of these guys are all NBA players which is what you need to win a chip.

I feel awful for Durant, like most everybody else here. Dude left it all out there and risked his career for a team that it appears mislead him. Jesus. What an awful situation.

So Bob Meyers cries at the podium. So what? That doesn't mean a f*cking thing. That dude has his career and his team is still alive. A few tears for KD and everyone wants to pat him on the back for being a good guy. Bullsh*t. He was behind the machinations that have potentially taken part of an all-time great's career from the NBA universe. Crying about it curries zero favor; there is no absolution for you on that podium, assh*le.

Literally

Year 2 of Knox and Mitch and year 0 for RJ.

Can we chill out on labeling these kids already? Let them develop first.

Yeah huge break for us. I mean who wants the 2nd best player in basketball and potentially another star to join him when we have an amazing young core of mediocre young players.

Seeing how this happened, I officially don't blame Kawhi Leonard (not that I really did before)

Yup. SAS & Popovich used the same tactics as the Warriors braintrust. Media pressure, mislabeling a serious injury with passive diagnosis, and using teammates and media coverage to put a players toughness and/or commitment to the team in question. Really dirty.

Kawhi either keeps this team together and makes another run or goes to the Clips. KD wanted NY because he wanted to use our market for his brand and branch out. Kawhi has no such aspirations. LA is home. He just bought a house there. I would be shocked if he came here by himself.

He wouldn't be by himself if we traded for AD.

We’ll bring Kawhi’s rehab team that’s based in NY to take part in recruiting Kawhi in the meeting.

Nothing is good about this for us.

We have literally nothing to build around and nothing to look forward to

Kawhi won't come here over LAC, but he's probably staying in TOR.

An AD trade would be foolish without KD.

Case is closed. I'm heartbroken tbh. I thought KD to the Knicks was a slam dunk.

At least we have a solid core moving forward (RJ, Mitch, Knox, DSJ, Mavs 1sts, etc.). If we tank another year we'll be set.

Idk it looked like it ruptured. Obviously I’m praying for a strain or something less career altering
