carrot sticks for pudding cup type trade offer.

If they can get Claxton from Nets instead of Green I could see that working out.

I'm surprised Ainge would do this. No one stands out among 3 to 5 to warrant taking on a bad contract.

I feel like the Sixers would draft Ace Bailey or Kon Knueppel with the #5 pick and get the guy they actually wanted with the #3 pick

Too many days between games, NBA Finals schedule is terrible.

They realizing the luxury and apron tax penalties hurt their pockets too much, and want to get out now since they can’t buy a championship anymore

My theory is the TV deal is inflated in that there is no guarantee the next one will as large as this one was in comparison to the one prior & the economics of the last CBA makes covering the cost of star players harder to do.

It’s why a lot of owners are selling now because the books look good now but might not look so good when the star player is owed around 100 million a year and you owe not just the luxury tax, but are in the 1st or 2nd aprons.

I also wonder if the lack of arena ownership another reason these specific teams are selling. That that is completely speculative.

Seriously though I don't think anyone really understood how the aprons would mess up the game, they were so fixated on ending the big three era they priced themselves out of maintaining full ownership.

I literally haven’t watched a single game. I could watch on demand and I’ve watched so much basketball all year and basically for years, but there’s neither drama nor coherence. Who cares?

I watched 4th qtr of last game. I will watch the final minutes if/when Indiana loses so I can watch them cry while walking off the court. Then I'll turn it off.

You won't watch Haliburton cry that's for sure, somehow he is always conveniently injured, when thye are losing.

I'm surprised Ainge would do this. No one stands out among 3 to 5 to warrant taking on a bad contract.

Sixers drafted Fultz with the #1 pick

Celtics drafted Tatum with the #3 pick

Weird to see Ainge wanting to trade up for the #3 pick this time around.

In 2017 he traded down to draft Tatum at #3. Sixers traded up to #1 to draft Fultz

I feel like the Sixers would draft Ace Bailey or Kon Knueppel with the #5 pick and get the guy they actually wanted with the #3 pick

I actually don’t know anything about college ball or who these prospects are outside of Cooper Flag, but I can 100% guarantee Ainge is only doing this to get a white kid. Idk who he is or whether there even is one, but Ainge will happily pay the great white savior tax.

I thought the Celtics would stop at nothing to acquire Troy Murphy (NOT Trey) back in the day, so don’t listen to me, but…

Danny Ainge would take on toxic assets to get the American white kid if he thinks he’s a star.

Kon Knueppel it is then, he fits at the 2 or 3 for Utah
