Re: Countdown to Lottery: Prospect Talk
its between mudiay and Winslow for me at this point. I prefer a point guard so i guess its time to flop onto the mudiay bandwagon

But the problem is two-fold: 1. We'll likely get the worst between Russell and Mudiay. You are all saying it'll be Mudiay but he could still move up. 2. Phil doesn't want Mudiay -- defensive, driving non-shooter. Not his guy. Three -- if you add that we need to win now with Melo -- so a rookie point is probably not the way to go.
You say we will likely get the worst player between Mudiay and Russel, but tbh we will never no until about 5 years from now. The draft is a crap shoot and in general players picked after #1 can be either be great or bust. Especially in these times since none of the players are going to the combine, we can't tell who will be better based on physical talent.
OJ Mayo was picked one over Westbrook
Deron Williams was picked over Chris Paul
Ricky Rubio and Jonny f*cking Flynn were picked over the current MVP
I would like Phil to have his choice, but you never know who you can get.

I'm not feeling Mudiay. Maybe he can Tyreke but I still rather have a C.
So instead of drafting a guy who will be a solid starter (maybe not all star) at PG or a potential all star at PF (Porzingis), we draft a guy who has a ceiling of a weaker Javale McGee.

Sixers will take Russell.
I would steer clear from Mundiay. Go with Winslow or trade back a couple of spots and take Cauley-Stein.

10 years ago is nice.. NO drops to 4th but picks Chris Paul. Mudiay anyone?
Hmmmmm. Any chance Mudiay becomes like Paul with developing great shooting?

They lost it and the team with the worst record ends up winning the 1st overall pick and they fall to 4th. The worst team almost never gets the first round pick (at least in recent drafts), until this draft.
You can't tell me that this isn't the worst NBA franchise in NBA history. Ran by the the worst owner and most incompetent front office members ever. Then you have the players and coach sabotaging everything by refusing to tank when they are truly awful.
I really don't know how long I can will myself to be a fan of this team.
I don't think I can do it until Dolan sells the team.
dolan let phil do what he wanted. and that's what everybody wanted. phil did this. he didn't really even understand his team. he held out bargs so we would lose and we won instead.

4 is good. Do your homework. Get a damn good player. Don't fcking trade it.
I agree. Like god though I'm still slightly worried they'll trade it though.
Hmm. If that happens I'll have to go spend some quality time on the Raps board and tell them what I think of their team and posters.

Let's just hope that Philly likes Mudiay. I wanted Russell from this draft anyways. Let me see Phil do some stupid sh*t and take Winslow or WCS instead...I'll go crazy

Is Galloway a SG?
How much value do we actually gain in Galloway vs Mudiay as PG?

Greg Monroe will be a Knick this summer for sure. Knicks need Mudiay. Dynamic guard who is big enough to play SG on defense.

Mudiay and Russ are PGs. Did you read the initial post you quoted?

If Mudiay can develop his jumpsot he can be the next stephon marbury. He played against marbury in China and he got marbury's stamp of approval.
My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah!"
