i said all along that nobody knows which on of these guys will be really good. nobody. it's all educated guess work. the two mvp candidates i'm watching now were 3rd and 7th.

guards do have a bigger success rate than bigs I will give you that which I am holding on to right now.

bigs usually play against smaller guys and have a lot to learn about conditioning and staying out of foul trouble.

Guards usually develop quicker and have less bust potential. I will at least say that.

10 years ago is nice.. NO drops to 4th but picks Chris Paul. Mudiay anyone?

Hmmmmm. Any chance Mudiay becomes like Paul with developing great shooting?

From what I have seen/heard he is way more like Wall/Westbrook

I could totally see them taking Mudiay though as well. Mudiay fits what they are building over there pretty well.

The last time they drafted a PG who couldn't shoot and was turnover prone, they traded him the following season. Granted, Mudiay > MCW but still...

I really disagree

They already have an issue with Noel. Is he a PF? is he a C?

They need a guy who can space the floor regardless and Mudiay does none of that. He would further complicate the issue of playing a frontline of Noel + Embiid.

Russell is clearly who they would take if they had to chose between the two.

if there is anyone to blame its Tim Chuckaway though.

Mudiay is basically tied with Russell for me. You just have to be grateful we didnt drop to 5th. I think theres too much hype for the "top 4" in this draft for Phil to be messing around and taking anyone but the leftover PG.

Gasol or Aldridge would be cool though.

Successful people always got dreams ahead of them. I'll keep on wishing the best possible scenarios for the Knicks. My let down tolerance is pretty strong at this point.

Is Galloway a SG?

Best case scenario Mudiay is D-Wade
Worst Case scenario Mudiay is a poor man's Michael Carter Williams

What I am hoping for is Mike Conley with worse shooting, but more athleticism.

Oh yeah he got Marburys approval that astute judge of talent. GTFOH. Take Winslow with the 4th pick. We cant wait 3 years to see if Mudiay develops a jumper. If Galloway actually could shoot then it might not be a bad risk, at least Winslow can shoot, play sg ANDhas Jimmy Butler/Kawai potential.
Trust but verify.

Just take Mudiay/Russel and call it a day. It's freaking simple.

Nah. Russ will be gone and Manny I don't want. Trade the damn pick.

You guys are such babies. Yes the boogieman basketball gods F'd us. If and when Mudiay or whoever we pick does well, everyone who is bitching will be the first ones on the bandwagon. Only in NY can the fans be upset at a top 4 selection and a chance at a fantastic PG prospect in an age where guards are dominant. Guess who else were number 4 picks over the past 10ish years: Bosh, Paul, Westbrook, Conley. Relax, jesus.

Right, except mudiay has to be the guard that went to china and got hurt as opposed to russell who showed out at ohio state every few days. With the 3rd pick we'd have so much more control right now. I don't know what to think of mudiay outside of some highlights and the hype. I'll have to go find as much tape on him as possible. As of right now I have no interest in winslow really.

So Mudiay got hurt, does that make him less talented? Does Russell having a terrible two game stretch in the tournament make him less attractive? No. In fact, Mudiay played very well overseas in a professional league and it's possible Philly takes him at 3. I've never understood why this board is enamored with Russell but craps on Mudiay. Is it just bc Russell is flashier? Guess what, Mudiay is a MUCH better athlete. True we would have more control with 3 but this is a top 4 draft, be thankful we didn't get 5.

I'm not "crapping on mudiay". I was a big supporter of him going to china, but I hate small sample sizes. If he didn't get hurt, I'd be a lot more confident in drafting him because we'd have a better gauge of his ability. It never ends with this franchise. Nothing is easy. As of right now, yes, I think russell is the better pick.

Sure, we're lucky we didn't pick 5th, but that was also the lowest possible odds. We're the only team in the **** lottery that didn't pick where they were slotted. We don't have to get superstitious here to be disappointed.
