Carmelo isn't speaking up for himself when it comes to Phil, yet Kristaps wants to get involved? I guess he wasn't taught never fight/speak for a person that won't fight/speak for themselves.

What would Kristaps do if tomorrow Carmelo and Phil take a picture lounging and smoking cigars in Los Angeles?

Everything's got to be about Carmelo right? That's all it could be right?

What else could it be about then?

Phil doesn't want Kristaps' first love on the team anymore.

Kp dont like that shape with 3 corners.

Players hate Phil because of his triangle fetish and megolomaniac statements.

I dont care about Melo, **** Phil!

I hate to take it here because I know it's a sensitive subject, and that if you say anything at all in support of Trump, you'll be labeled a racist by many...

But you're god damn right Trump is right.

There are many parallels between Trump and Phil. Like... they are weirdly similar.

Both inexperienced as President, but both trying to bring about significant change where significant change is needed. Media feverishly against both of them, while the people obey and follow the narrative. Both wrongly accused of being racist. Both have Twitter fingers. Lol. I could go on and on.

I hate politics and hate basically any politician that ever lived, and people should know that I'm not some type of super right-wing, die-hard Trump guy. I'm more of a conspiracist theorist. Super anti-establishment, anti-corporate media. And those are the reasons I sympathize with Trump at all. Also many of the reasons I sympathize with Phil. I see the media and all the sheep rallying against someone, and I tend to side with the guy being unfairly ganged up on.

If you can't see that there's an agenda against Phil, I don't know what to tell ya. But it makes me pissed. Especially with Dolan putting the final touches on his latest album, waiting to head back to his perch at the Garden...

I actually agree with some of this in reguards to Phil the media is on attack mode.

Trump is the king of fake news. I'm still waiting to hear what his sources in Hawaii found out about Obama's birth certificate.

It's hard to make precise comparisons between Trump and Phil, inasmuch as Phil was an all-time great coach, who achieved amazing things as a coach, whereas Trump was a bankruptcy queen who somehow managed to convince people he was actually some sort of titan of business.

The best comparison to be made between Phil and Trump is that they both now occupy roles well beyond their level of expertise (assuming you accept that Trump had a area of expertise beyond self-promotion to the weak-minded...) and
they're showing it.

But he was saying, ‘no, no, not that environment, not now.’ They’re not just alienating their own players, they’re alienating all players. They’re making things hard on themselves there.”

Phil would change the culture tho...

And it's all BS anyway since we were Grant Hill'd in the past by many different players long before Phil was even here.

The thought that suddenly the Knicks are no longer a location players want to be is a lie.

i like how they say "yeah, get me to new york" like anybody wants jerome **** james types signing with this god forsaken team. this is good though. i hope it is the pervading thought around players around the league, considering it's a horrible way to go about constructing a team anyway.

Suns can sit in the passenger seat if they weren't willing to include #4 in a deal for KP.

Taking this to the KP thread...

god shammgod wrote:that's exactly the rumor repeated by more than one person. that the front office is now setting up kp to be the fall guy. it's a self preservation thing.

I understand that. By the same token, all of the criticism coming at KP right now is a direct result of his own actions and words and not at all from anything coming from the team. He missed the meeting, he blew off calls, he has been confirming all the rumors of his dissatisfaction on social media, and he has been confirming that he has not reached out to the org himself after all this.

What he did with that IG post yesterday pissed me off more than anything he'd done yet. If he had half a brain he'd know that the initial rumors yesterday were coming from the standpoint of the opposition. And if he didn't have a brain but had half a degree of sense he would have called and asked. Howard Beck was able to talk directly to somebody in Knick management. Lord knows he could have, as well.

As others have suggested, the Knicks are likely setting up numerous smokescreens with their draft process and fielding these calls to bring in suitors for any number of other deals they may want to bring in help. Their incredibly high asking price keeps interested parties on the phone. Him confirming his dissatisfaction did the Knicks brass no favors/leverage in their own negotiations. If his goal was to force himself out of NY, he may have accomplished just that.

Phil's treatment of Melo was a real problem but to date it's been separate from how they treated literally anyone else on the team. Hell, Rose went AWOL and all they had for him was praise for whatever reason.

Nothing wrong with due diligence. Also opens up the lines for other players/trades. Teams may call about KP and end up dealing for KOQ/Lee/Lance, etc.

how people can just continue to parrot scandals generated by the tired NY beat writers year after year, decade after decade...it astonishes me

KP spoke up for the triangle back when we weren't running it before the ASG

Phil Jackson isn’t the only person who likes that the Knicks are playing more triangle. Kristaps Porzingis is a fan of the often-criticized offense and believes the Knicks should have been emphasizing it from the start of the season.

“We’re starting to learn it now the way we should [and] we should have been playing from the beginning of the season,” Porzingis said “So we’re a little behind. But every game we’re getting a little better. Hopefully, I don’t know when, we can start using it properly and making some impact playing it."

We just had a report that Jackson is asking for 4 1st round lottery picks. Come on.
This is all to get clicks.

booker and 4 is a totally different scenario. Chriss...no way. This dude is known for throwing sh*t up against the wall and hoping it sticks.

Booker and #4 at least is comparible value. He also said the knicks are trying to unload Noah's contract in any KP trade. Like what in the world is that. Only clown reporting that too.

listen, in general, i reject the idea that these guys are constantly making stuff up. are stories sometimes sensationalized ? sure. but there remains truth in them almost always. and sometimes they get bad info from people who are spreading this info for some kind of advantage. but they would stop going to these people for info once they knew that. they actually care about their reputation because it keeps them employed. they're not writing fan fiction for fun. they usually work for very large companies and if word got around that they were fabricating stories out of thin air they wouldn't last long in the business.

Suns are really stupid if chriss and 4 was all it took to get KP and they didn't. WTF did the Suns think they were going to give us.

While I agree more with you than the idea that it's a purposeful fabrication, your point held a lot more weight before last November (being serious).
