Not that they're on the same wavelength in talent but LeBron did much more with a lot less talent in his career (early Cleveland days).

Carmelo also had to go through multiple coaches and different team mates every year. I'm easing the blow from my first sentence with this fact.

Things could've went a lot better with him but the front office was never competent. Honestly, every year he was here there was always a major change to either FO or players.

I would take Starks, Mase, and BK on a torn ACL before Melo. You could even make a case for Oakley because of his rebounding and defense.
