ANNOUNCEMENTCongratulations to Mpharris36 and 3toheadmelo, two very worthy teams making it to the BaF finals in two very different ways. The two time defending champions swept away the powerhouse Western Conference winning 12 straight postseason games including beatdowns of elite GMs and teams along the way. The Thunder, Clippers and Mavericks put up no resistance to the Jokic/Curry and Friends super team that is now four wins shy of a threepeat. The Cavaliers entered the postseason with the seventh best record in the Eastern Conference after a lackluster regular season that saw disappointing performances from some of the games greatest players. And after a 30 point loss against Brooklyn in the first play-in game, their was a legitimate question as to if the Cavaliers would even qualify for the postseason this year. But playoff Tatum showed up in the biggest moments going from 24.0/7.2/5.2/1.9 in the regular season to 26.2/8.0/5.3/2.1 in the postseason while upping his percentages from .441/.345/.835 to .462/.402/.915 shooting. Tatum has been named player of the game in nine of Cleveland's 13 postseason wins. He has put the Cavs on his back and gives them a punchers chance against the heavily favorite Spurs.
Congrats also to Deeeez and his Mavericks as well as HS85 and her Bulls. Two of the best franchises in the league who compete for a championship every season. The Bulls and the Mavericks won 57 and 56 games this year respectively before finally being bounced in the Conference finals.
While we have a few days off before the Finals begin on Saturday, I figured I would update everyone on the draft. In the past, our draft has always begun on the Saturday before the NBA draft. This year, due to the fact that the NBA has moved the draft to two nights, we will begin our draft on the Friday night. Once we get past the Finals, I will post another post with complete draft details, but for now the draft schedule is posted below for teams to see so people can plan their times/picks.
Good luck to both Mpharris36 and 3toheadmelo in the Finals! Will the Spurs win title #3 or will the Cavs avenge their 2022 Finals loss and even the Spurs with a league high two titles.
