Jalen Bluntson wrote:I just don't understand why Kamala hasn't stood on the positive things that happened while she was with Biden. Why they haven't pushed the pandemic as a huge cause for the inflation people are feeling and what they did to combat it. That it was global and we seem to have recovered better than a lot of the world. How gas prices have come back down. The markets rallied. Positive GDP growth. Interest rates dropping. Etc.

There are positives she can point to that will hold up against Trump's wildly inaccurate and flat out lies about the state of the economy. You can lead a horse to water but, it seems they aren't trying hard enough to push that. Like they tell them where the watering hole is but don't help them get there.

The messaging was strong at first but, it hasn't really changed enough to reach the voters they need. She stumbles at times with things like I wouldn't change a thing but, we need change. It's getting foggy while they just let Trump dig his own hole. They had him on the ropes and they let up too much for my liking. If she loses I will damn sure point to this as the cause.

I agree with this but I think she has to hone in on the kitchen table issues moreso than talking about the markets/interests rates. I have a 401k and my personal investment portfolio but I think we all know people who could care less about that stuff because they're living check to check. Grocery bills. Gas. Electric. Child care. Property taxes. Income taxes. Insurance rates. Hell, now that I think about it, I think my car insurance bill for my family is absolutely outrageous and it keeps climbing and shopping around hasn't yielded anything better

How has the Biden/Harris administration helped working families, and how have Republicans blocked their attempts at helping, and what will she do if delivered the white house and a congress that she can work with?

Here's another example she could focus on: Florida voters are getting ass blasted by the property insurance industry. What will the federal government's solution be for that? Because Trump and Couch Cummer have zero plans or solutions for these folks.

This stuff is absolute horsesh*t. We know this but right leaning folks are easy prey for con artists. Hence, Trump.

And when the GOP gets aired out next month, they'll claim that there's a conspiracy because these fake gambling site odds don't hold any relevance in reality.

Like they think that there aren't millions of female American voters who aren't pissed tf off right now at Trump, SCOTUS and the rest of these ass holes.

Yeah, that's the game

It's hedging bets. Flood the pollsters with Republican-friendly polling, pump money into betting sites, give the impression Trump is winning, by a lot! Then on election night, declare victory before the votes are counted and try for another J6

PA hasn't fixed their mail-in ballot count system since 2020. They still can't open them til the day of, and turnout is as high as 2020 so far, with about 800k mail-in ballots already returned. If it comes down to PA, we won't know for a few days, but they'll be screaming at the top of their lungs about how it has to be fraud, because the odds said they were ahead.

Word to Big Bird brother. Sorry for your loss as well and thanks for your kind words. I'm not diagnosed yet and there's a decent chance the the throat and lung cancer are nothing. Doing follow up imaging and hoping the nodules are not growing. The stomach lesions are going to be monitored every three years through endoscopy to l make sure they don't become cancer. This is my second endoscopy since my wife died. The first biopsies were negative.

I know politics get heated and I am totally guilty of getting abrasive/aggressive in the past with a few people around here. I hope to be more level headed and that we can leave these discussions in this thread. I enjoy this board and I want us all to enjoy this team.

Sorry for your loss as well. I know what it's like to lose someone like that so young and unexpectedly, my cousin, who I've spoken about on here before, died from pancreatic cancer at age 29. It's been six years, and i still think about him every day. It hurts and probably won't stop hurting until I'm gone too.

May your friend rest well.

These topics invoke emotion and sometimes, anger when things get said that are out of pocket. Its going to happen with politics. At the bare minimum, we can at least have empathy for each other and take a step back if things get too heated. I truly do enjoy these discussions regardless of our differences and speaking for myself, i don't take any of this outside of this thread.
