Spent yesterday going through some advance stats and I think I figured defense and offense efficiency out. Too bad I'll have to wait until next season smh.

The one thing I will say is that DFG% is very important.

Probably that and Diff% which is what really matters. That’s what I’ve been looking at to help determine players efficiency as defenders so if they are using that then that’s good because that’s what should be used imo

I’ve figured out the offensive part a while ago, pretty easy since it’s just shooting numbers and scoring efficiency and then if you want to have a guy with good discipline then you need to look at how many fouls they are averaging in their minutes played and then you can determine who is disciplined. Those things I got figured out but the defense part I always felt was hard to determine and it felt more random than calculated. Will have to look at if they really might be using DFG and Diff% because that would be helpful info for sure

yeah i think you are on to something with diff%. looking at the list rn it seems like a direct correlation with the DEF rating. seems like majority of the players who has a negative diff has a good DEF rating in the sim and the players with a high diff has a bad DEF rating. like if you look at taylor henrick's diff he has a -8.4 lol. his dfg% is crazy low too. thanks for the help hezi and hersports. unlike some people who wanna gatekeep cause its so deep for them lmao

gatekeep public data which you were told about over 2 years ago take some damn accountability for yourself . People found this information in less than one day. You have had years and just ignored stats you used yourself in arguments.

And its not perfect because defense is still all over the place there are more anomolies which I cant figure out...there are probably a lot more components to it then meets the eye.

I have been more the willing to chat with people who have reached out and been kind and sincere to me to share what I believe my evaluations are. You have never been kind or sincere or tried to reach out to pick my brain. You just publicly come at me every time you get. So yeah I probably don't really have it in me to give you free handouts.

Would make sense then why Mobley didn’t get as high of a rating despite winning DPOY. Mobley had a Diff% of 3.1 whereas someone like JJJ had a Diff% of 6.2. Did we figure it out?

i think we cracked the code lmfao this sht is lining up with like 95% of the ratings so far. a consistent theme im seeing here is if you have a really high DFGA, low DFG% and Diff you are pretty much guaranteed to get a high DEF rating.
