I can already tell that this will be another Greek Freak situation, just this time it will be another team who ruins our fun, and not Cuban himself. The things I would to have a KP-FN young core...

Phil is not the coach. That's my biggest issue. Have to give Hornacek (or whoever is the coach) freedom.

Freedom is earned by the coach not the other way around. Either the coach can coach the system you as a GM want being run or he can't. The structure comes from the top down not from the bottom up. Last year he gave Hornacek the freedom to run a lot of PnR and it resulted in a lot of poor shots, a lot of ball hogging by Rose and Melo and a lot of losses. Personally, I don't think Hornacek has the spine to be a head coach and he's definitely not an X's and O's type.

I disagree about the freedom. A coach needs a certain amount of freedom. If he can't run the system, then fire him and bring in another coach. If 3 coaches can't run the system, then maybe the problem is the roster the president/GM put together. I can't blame the coach nor the system on Melo/Rose hogging the ball. Thats who they are. Its a bad match on offense and defense. Thats on Phil.

I'll agree with you on the last few lines. That's definitely who rose and Melo are. And I'm a Melo fan but to be clear he's definitely a ball stopper at times (too frequently).

We've been linked to Frank virtually all year. The press basically told us to forget about KP - can't take a guy like that in NYC - and then all of a sudden things heated up in a hurry regarding our interest.

KP had a more complete resume but I've been fine with Frank since he started showing a little more in the time he's gotten. At this point, I want to take the upside gamble. He could be a complete player.

We have an advantage, KP. He can take Frank under his wing. They'll both go home in the off season and train/compete. It's a mentality.

The future Knicks will NOT be the team that we expect. I do NOT expect a Alpha scorer on the team. I do NOT expect that primary defensive cog and physical defensive specialists.

I see a team more into fundamentals and versatile.

Sure, we'll always have Paris (2011), but I didn't like the way our franchise handled the last five-six years. I would rather just tank hardcore for a season or two, but that is impossible with Dirk and Carlisle on board. Yeah, I like Willy too, he'll be a very solid NBA player with a long career.

Not me. I've had Nikita ahead of Fox on my Big Board for Months now. Even have Monk ahead of Fox.
