That's $1.95m in additional salary on the salary cap chart. That means you can't keep Trier (or you have to trade one of Frank, Kevin or Dennis for non-salary considerations).

I would do a Trier (or Frank) + RJ + #55 for #8, #10 #17 and # 35. only if Culver or Hunter was avaliable at #8 and NO have refused AD for RJ + Mitch + Dallas Picks).

Can't do Frank unless you actually find an explicit trade there. The "Trier" is just you have to give up having him on the squad. You can't do that with Frank. (Waive & stretching him would be bizarre as a use of assets, but not enough cap space in any case.)

Otherwise that seems fine - you agree who to draft at #3 and to do the trade if Culver or Hunter drop to #8.

Thus you can view Atlanta as a virtual under the Cap team. They traded the cheap 2,3M Prince for 18M Crabble. The deal will be completed in june 5th.

It's really not very hard to figure out the Nyets cap - there are a bunch of resources on the net - basketball-insiders, basketball-reference, and many other (espn, .. ) w/e. I'm going to use sportrac: https://www.spotrac.com/nba/brooklyn-nets/cap/2019/

You'll see that Shabb and Trev have non-guaranteed contracts if renounced by 10 July. So, doing that immediately nets the Nyets $1,696,342 in salary cap.

Their "$66m" in 'effective salary cap' is in fact: $66,975,950. So, sticking these together the Nets have $68,672,292 in cap space. The KD+KI combo is $70,850,000. So that leaves them a little less than $2.2m shy of a Kd-Kyrie combo.

It's actually not so hard to dump the remaining salary. Look on https://www.spotrac.com/nba/brooklyn-nets/cap/2019/ to see the options

I don’t think it was always the plan but the last few days make it seem undeniable that it’s the plan now. Who knows what changed. All we can say is Kyrie has somehow leaked to the universe that he wants to go to the nets, he’s been in nyc recently and now the nets out of nowhere make this desperation trade to free up cap space. Something clearly is happening here
