mccarthy, matt nagy, arthur smith, spags and anarumo don't really move the needle for me

chris shula could be interesting but i don't really know much about him

unsurprisingly, all the names were white; i wonder who's time we're going to waste just to meet the rooney rule requirements again this year

Is there an experienced Black head coach available? I agree 100%, but i just don't want anyone who doesn't have previous head coaching experience with some track record of success.

McCarthy checks those boxes with a championship and a winning record as a head coach (.608).

Now if Tomlin becomes available, Mara absolutely needs to hand him the keys to the ship and move outta the way.

From the Athletic:

Giants rookie linebacker Abdul Carter was benched for the opening series of Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the Packers because he missed a walk-through leading up to the game, according to team sources.

Carter, according to sources, was asleep in the team facility at the time of the walk-through.

Being late to meetings has been a trend during Carter’s rookie season that former coach Brian Daboll let slide, a source said.

Interim coach Mike Kafka disciplined Carter for the violation in his first week on the job.

Most of these dudes are trash candidates. Mc Carthy? seiously FOH. Spags? FOH. Anarumo, im not that high on anymore since he left the Bengals. This coaching search is as vanilla as it can get, and I dont mean the skin color, I mean none of these names bring any excitement to the table. SMH.

The only one I may like is Shula. Thats it.

Im gonna fall back cause its early, but this pool is mad meh.

McCarthy would be like hiring George Karl, IMO

But the rest of the list (outside of Shula and maybe Anuramo) is so bad that McCarthy is the cream of the crop on it.

If Tomlin or Harbaugh become available, you jump all over it, but we have to be looking at more people than this.

If the Giants are truly keeping this search targeted, these are some pretty sad targets.

This is a terrible look. From all the coaches to the FO. How do you allow a franchise piece to continue to disrespect the game and your lousy franchise.

It took an interim HC to finally call him out on his BS?

hard to get experience when a lot of them don't get a chance or get canned after a year

The reporting is that Daboll was extremely chummy and preferential with Dart, Cam and Carter. I guess he thought getting cozy with them would help save his job.

Kafka doesn't seem to have the same delusions

I also can't help but think that Wan'Dale was subtweeting Daboll with his comments on Kafka after the game

I think I understand why Daboll did it and it eventually got him fired as things compounded. But how doesnt your FO know about this? If they did and they didn't do anything that is a terrible look.

Man forget about Daboll allowing it. The real problem is Carter. This means he thinks he’s privileged and not the hard worker he claims to be.

The first red flag was him asking for LT number. It seemed harmless, but it shows how tone deaf and how full of himself he is.

Now these new reports show how full of himself he is, to be a ROOKIE and already acting like this. Dude has not even been living up to the hype, and wants to act like this. Again shows how he can’t read the room.

What this shows me is that Schoen didn’t do his homework. I like how they had an issue with SS, but totally missed the mark with Carter and his arrogance. Lmao.
