Yeah I got a feeling they will keep KAT and see how a new coach can make KAT JB work pick and roll, and pick and pop

I'm the new coach and I'd be telling the team KAT is to shoot at least 5 3s a game, anything less and the whole team runs suicide including the scrubs and assistant coaches and trainers who don't play lmao

We can't get Giannis...anyone seriously think KAT is getting traded for anyone else? Doesn't make sense.

Tom was fired because he underachieved with KAT and the rest....they have to let him run under a better coach before anything.

Bring Spo home!!!

Even if they do have sources you can’t waste your audiences time and hype them up to then just say the Knicks are working on things and want things it’s crazy. They were also just not even listening to the callers lol

So one route according to CP is to go Johnnie Bryant and try for continuity and modernization. So that means we probably run it mostly back and see if we could get more out of this group like IND did this season.

the problem with "source" guys is they can get 1 piece of information that turns out be true and use that attention to speculate on 100 other things they really have no idea about.

This is where I'm at. We dont need sweeping changes, just improve the bench and get a new mindset. I truly believe Bryant is the guy.

- 7 players were out on Thibs (not JB or Hart. Probably not KAT either)
- Kidd is in play
- Bryant not the #1 option
- Julius fought somebody last year
- Knicks are trying to trade for Giannis without losing KAT
- No KD

That was precisely the problem with this guy

Apparently he's got some other hits. This was a miss.

What's wrong with a developmental coach? We are probably going to need some of the younger guys to contribute and wouldn't mind if KAT learned how to set a screen or if Brunson learned how to run a 2 man game or if OG learned how to dribble and chew gum or if Mikal learned how to fight over a screen again or if Hart or Mitch developed a single reliable skill outside of rebounding :D

But seriously if we keep this roster together we are going to need them to be better players than they have shown themselves to be this past season. With the limited assets the team has to improve they will need to find a way to squeeze every bit of juice out of the roster from making better use of the players together to individual improvements of the players. Thibs was an established coach and far from a developmental guy.

Our core is anywhere between 28 and 30, in the primes of their career and very much solidified in what they do. I don’t think it’s realistic to expect these guys to suddenly develop a new skill or master à weakness they’ve struggled with their whole career. Player development implies working with and focusing on improving our younger talent, which means playing time and living with the challenges and failings of the youth. That flies in the cave of what is presumably being viewed as a window to compete for a championship and maximizing the core veteran talent we have.

Guys like Bryant and the college coaches might be great at getting our younger guys into the rotation, but it would be foolish to believe that a first year NBA coach would be better than Thibs at getting this closer to a championship.

The 2 best teams in the league in the regular season were coached by guys that could be considered developmental coaches in Atkinson and Daigneault and happen to be the last 2 COTY. Part of their success was their willingness to go deep into their benches and play younger and less proven players. Atkinson gave Mobley more responsibility this year and gave Ty Jerome more time because he saw some promise in him in Golden State.

Daigneault is a former G-League coach that has been developing his young players for the last few years while being the #1 seed in back to back seasons. I don't know if Carlisle would be considered a developmental coach but we just lost to him in back to back years while he was giving key minutes in the postseason to young players like Nembhard, Sheppard, Walker, Mathurin and Nesmith who couldn't find a role on the Celtics his first few years in the league.

can't even afford that i think. wouldn't have enough money left to fill out the team with giannis, kat, brunson. you think we have no bench now ?
