Batum would be a great addition. We need smalls that can board and another playmaker/shooter.

Not saying I wouldn't make Batum because he is a great all-around player, but where would y'all like to fit him in on this team? Starting SG and move AA to the bench or designated swingman to come off the bench.
The reason I ask because I expect KP to start at least by the 2016-17 season.

Deeeez post above is exactly why I'd target Batum in the off-season...versatility (he can also play some small ball PF which he flourished filling in for LaMarcus Aldridge at times). He also gives us options should Afflalo choose to walk, Melo force a deal, Porzingis bust, all while taking potential pressures off guys like Grant and Galloway to make plays out of the backcourt. Judging by the players we signed this off-season, Batum is exactly the type of player Phil covets. 2-way, team-first, character guy who moves the ball and fits the offense.
Ideally, we bring in Mike Conley...but I don't see a scenario in which he leaves Memphis now that they've lock down Gasol. And I'm not sure Horford leaves Atlanta, and if he makes much sense here anyway if we're truly dedicated to developing Porzingis.
