The LaMelo,Edwards or wiseman dream died for me along time ago.

It’s better to just accept this now.

I really wish we had a chance of getting one of Lamelo/Edwards/Wiseman. After those 3 there's a big gap in talent.

There's still some hope we dont get Cole Anthony. He is at #13 in DX's new mock. So it might be considered a big reach if we take him where we currently are.

Haha right! Plus if they move up this year they DEFINITELY won’t move up next year in a more important draft lol.

No need for CP3. Haliburton and RJ can change the culture. Haliburton may not be a superstar but he’s the fooor general and leader we can build with

if you start your draft assessment with "he'll never be a star but" what is the point ? you don't try to find role players with high lottery picks. even if who you draft isn't enough of a star to win it all, maybe he's good enough to make your team decent so you attract that guy/guys. unless you draft someone who can carry an offense for a decent amount of wins, you're gonna keep signing the julius randles of this world because someone has to take on the scoring load and the big names won't come do it if you suck. if you're not reaching for someone who at least could possibly be a star, i don't even understand.

Tyrese Haliburton is a sophomore. What's the success rate for sophomores transitioning into NBA and end up being a star on a team?
In short, all I am saying is RJ-Brunson-Grimes-Quickley-Randle are the untouchables moving forward.

It's cause he's very flawed. I see why people are intrigued with him and he can be a star but there's also a chance he can end up as Brandon Jennings. Maybe if we had a better development coaching staff then I would feel a lot better taking him. Knicks never found a way to make weaknesses of our flawed players minimized as possible and letting them play to their absolute strengths. So it's probably better for the Knicks to take a safer player with less flaws but has similar upside. I will still root for Cole if we get him though.
