wonder how much you will feel the impact of losing Jrue defensively but if anyone has the defenders to recover its you. You add a lot more shooting and rebounding with this move so really strong move for you overall.

If you were involved in that trade, please check both your team pages and draft pick page.

Trying to put that all together on an IPad is not ideal. I want to make sure that I got everything where it should be.

Losing Jrue defense was my main concern, but getting Mitch who has an 80 def rating helped make the decision a little easier. Plus his 100 OREB paired with Plumlee 95 OREB .. lol I had to try it

Not cheap, but I understood the GMs needs and met them.

But yes, I do like the pairing. Wemby & Gobert should be able to make up for Ice Trae’s defensive shortcomings too.

Definitely not cheap. Isiah joe on that contract is a high value asset that you can build around.

Welp, looks like the cat's outta the bag. I don't like Trae Young...my team has been soft defensively so I've tried to reshape the roster to suit my vision of hoops.

I'm in the market for some reliable spacing, either at the wing or 4 spot. I have a log jam at PG so I'm open to offers. I consider my core KAT/OG/CP3/Kennard (lol NTCreeeeeeee) and Okongwu, everyone else I'm not married too.

Yeahhhhh I'm definitely with Pooch on this one. I was reaching out about Trae for a while, to see him go for that package hurts a bit, both from Toronto and Indiana's perspective. Trae for 48 year old CP3 is wild. Scraps and a mid 1st for Trae is wild.

Alvarado (75 DEF) and Joe (83 FG3) are on $1 contracts tho. It’s not just about what they bring, but also the money they allow you to allocate elsewhere in the construction of your team. Those $1 salaries for quality players are super valuable.

While Trae is rated with a high OVR, his defense is poor and he is not an efficient scorer. So he really only fits on a certain type of squad. Nobody really wanted him. I happened to be one of the only GMs willing to take the gamble on him.

If you were one of the few GMs to inquire on Trae, I’m willing to bet if you were turned down, it’s likely cuz MDB already gave me his word on the deal by that point. He’s a tight-lipped GM with honor, so he likely wouldn’t reveal to you why he’s declining. To protect the confidentiality of his verbal commitment elsewhere.

One of them situations where you gotta strike fast and with a good rationale and a credible offer if you want your guy. I always try to move fast and close with a firm commitment.
