Please do anything to get rid of Melo now. You spend huge money on Hardaway. Move Melo and keep it young. If you're going to pay Hardaway all this money I expect him to get the ball a lot and not worry about "pass the ball to Melo".

I'm with you and i read his tweet wrong. A fan asked if we'd be getting Bledsoe and he said no we'd be getting young guys and a pick which is much better. Bledsoe is a beast when healthy though.

No idea but he's been putting out a lot of tweets about the Knicks and he has 1700 followers so who knows, maybe this guy has a legit sauce.

I think something happens now that THJ is confirmed to be on the team. I could see the hold up being whether or not to include Lee in any deal. I can see the Cavs trading Love and whatever contracts to match for Melo and Lee. We would obviously need a third team if we want to keep the mantra of staying young and adding assets. Things could pick up real soon.

First we needed to wait until draft night, then once PG13 and Butler situations were resolved, then we were waiting to see what happened with Hayward before we could move Melo. I hope that the shoe finally drops but I don't see why we had to wait on Tim Hardaway to make a Carmelo Anthony trade.

I think renouncing rose and Sasha's rights were important in conjunction with this move.

How many roster spots do we have open now?

Assuming any Melo deal we are taking back 1 or 2 additional players.

I think it has more to do with the positions. Cavs are looking to unload Shump and Lee would be a huge upgrade over him. The problem is that we cant go into the season without a starting 2 guard so we needed to see if ATL would match before moving Lee. The problem in trading Melo is that the teams trading for him would have to give up assets. Teams would rather try and sign players instead of having to give anything up, especially for Melo. Now that the free agency market is drying up, the trade talks should start to pick up.
