Hope you guys will make PO ( can't believe I'm saying this ) so we can brag about best division in EC.

IQ is next Din in making. Can he expend his game... we will find out.

Thibs got these guys playing hard. I'd rub that to haters who were talking trash. Win or lose they playing hard.

I still surprised the debate is about trading for Lavine when the debate should be 2021 moves or pushing back to try and go all in during 2022.

I prefer Levine to Trent because of the gravity Levine would bring. Basically his scoring ability I think he could be a #1 player on a contender. Trent would be a great player to get if you believe Randle is that #1 piece and RJ is the #2.

However, we’re struggling to be a .500 team and so are the Bulls regardless if Lavine drops 28 points a game this season. I think if Lavine brought his avg 28pt to the Knicks based on his game this team would be top #4 in the East easy. He can catch and shoot, create off the dribble, 5 ast. His defense isn’t great, but Thibs will likely make him solid.

It just makes sense for the Knicks not to trade for Lavine unless he or the Bulls put it out there he is being traded. It would gut us. So unless it was a good deal, and I don’t see it being a good deal. I don’t think we trade for Zach Lavine. However, he’s likely not going to extend with the Bulls because the amount of money he can earn from a extension is a lot less than he would make as a UFA with any team. We know he is going to FA. So we got a chance. Also for a franchise that saw the repercussions of trading for Melo, and even Thibs mistake of trading for Jimmy, and is right now sitting on a lottery pick because we traded an injured KP..... nobody should want to do a trade. They don’t work unless you’re trading for a MVP quality player or doing small trades to round out the roster.

What does make sense is to try and build the team up and try to attract a All-Star level FA so you can have them play with the core of Quickley/RJ/Randle/Mitch. Like Pat Reilly had done with Miami multiple times or like how the Celtics got Hayward and Kemba. We mess up because when we chase FA we’re looking to be saved. Teams that get FA either have good cores or pieces that can be used to get other stars. By next years FA I think we will be solid.

I do think we’ll get a lottery pick (hopefully two) and add to our core and next year we’ll make a hard press for the playoffs. That’s when you throw money at Lavine and offer him the chance to play with our core and be on a winning team.

1st option Lavine, 2nd option Randle, 3rd option RJ. Mitch at center and a whole bunch of cost affordable role players (Quick, Obi, etc) could do some damage in the East with Thibs as a coach.

Not to poo poo on your dreams but let's not forget about Oakley, Melo and who runs this team. With the way current events went i assume players know who Dolan is and what type of contributions he provided to Trump.

P.S don't get your hopes to high.

Yeah but so far a combination of Leon Rose, and Thibs has kept that under wraps. Also Lavine plays for the Bulls not the Spurs or warriors. He’s in his own crappy situation, it’s just less public and less likely to pay to put a good product on the floor. Dolan has paid for crap teams, Leon at least came in and saved him money based on this teams production.

LOL at "IQ is the next Dinwiddie in the making"

What, all of a sudden he's going to become an insufferable d*chebag who posts dumb sh*t on social media constantly?

From what I can tell, IQ's parents raised him better than that.

Lillard is the worst 3 point shooter out of the 4 Blazers guards by 4%.

(I know he takes the most difficult ones, but how crazy is that? )

I don’t think they win this year but maybe next year. They still need big man help. With that said I came to terms with the fact they likely will win a championship. Knicks need to focus on getting there themselves in their own window since the Nets are a older team.

Exactly, though at that point GSW will be back. I get their urgency but it won’t be as easy as it seems now and the playoffs are long.

They might have the three best players in the conference this year. It really felt like the Achilles injury changed the dynamic but whoever really knows.

I still think they're in trouble with the Lakers, if healthy. Even though he'll be around a few more years, this is probably LeBron's Last Dance and I reckon he knows it.

A lot other shocking stats and traits about Lillard's game but he got swag and people like him so let's close our eyes and pretend they don't exist.

you kidding right? he is insane. might be my mvp right now. blazers are 18-10 without 2 of their best 3 players in the loaded western conference and Dame is almost averaging 30/8. :o

It is surprising. Highest TS% though. Blazers have some sharpshooters for sure.

Durant is great, but lawd it would have been excruciating trying to root for Kyrie. Even if they went all the way here it wouldn't feel like a Knicks championship to me, just a rented monstrosity.

Return to New York Knicks
