Bill Cartwright had a funky release, but he was a good mid-range shooter regardless unlike some of the other mooks in that clip

He had a weird rotation to his shot. But he could hit his FTs as I recall.

Noah shoots the way Brunson does, if Brunson couldn't use either hand.
Portland's #10 looks like he forgot where his right arm was after he began his shooting motion.
Bruce Reznick would do better, as he is reputed to be able to hit free throws. But he's only 88.

Just read a report they are changing the challenge rules on out of bounds plays. Currently, they cannot assess a foul had occurred and had to rule just on who touched it last. With the new rule set to go into place this upcoming season, the refs are now allowed to call a foul on a player if one occurred.

We saw this happen in the playoffs this year with Mavs vs Wolves. Kyrie was called for out of bounds when he hit McDaniels hand and caused him to lose the ball out of bounds. However, after review, it was ruled Mavs ball since the ball technically touched McDaniels last even though the foul by Kyrie was the reason the ball went out of bounds.

This is a story on James Dolan. Basically it says that he is the only owner opposed to the revenue sharing, is selfish, and doesn’t play well with the other 29 owners. Pretty negative article.

James Dolan is riding the gravy train.

The billionaire inherited his fortune, which includes the New York Knicks, Madison Square Garden and MSG Network, from his father, Charles Dolan, one of the world's wealthiest people. James Dolan controls the NBA's highest-valued franchise in the league's largest media market because he was born into both.

Dolan reportedly wanted more at the rest of the NBA's expense. Except, the 69-year-old was this week's lone dissenting vote against both the league's proposed budget this season and its newly re-elected chairman of the board of governors, Toronto's Larry Tanenbaum, sources told Yahoo Sports…

For once, I agree with Dolan.

There's already a cap to help the small market whiners, teams still owned by billionaires or multi-multi millionaires.
There's a luxury tax.
The cap is more punitive than ever.

Share revenue why?
So f*cking OKC or Minnesota or the Sactown Kings can get more $ for the Knicks advantage in population?

Will the NBA adjust state tax rates into the cap so the advantage some smaller markets have over the larger cities be offset?

The NFL has this situation and it's been good for the sport, but who really cares but the owners?
They screw the players over since there's always a crop of cheap new talent coming in from college.

Is this the model the NBA wants?

F*ck those rural turds.

Dolan is correct from the perspective that local teams are losing the capability to broadcast the games locally. from a fan perspective I quite agree with him, but obviously his argument stems from a loss of tv revenue and my argument stems from the fact that local fans will see the team on tv less.

this is why for instance I am happy that the nba is returning to nbc. people can watch more games with an antenna than on TNT.

One thing I'm thankful for with dolan and an owner like Steve Cohen is that even though he may publicly fight the league over money and what he sees as disproportionate revenue loss due to being the knicks, they dont let that impact spending on the team. the fact that Aaron Judge was even close to leaving the yankees and now Soto might is just asinine.
