Is Brunson, DDV, Mikal, OG, iHart, Hart, McBride+ a better team than Brunson, Hart, Mikal, OG, KAT, McBride+?

I always wonder what the Nova group would have looked like with OG and iHart if they just dumped Randle and Robinson's salaries into Detroit's capspace for whatever draft compensation that could get so they could get far enough under the cap to offer iHart a more competitive offer?

I don’t think dumping the cap space was the issue. I think we could have only offered him a certain dollar amount. Regardless if we had more to offer

I know this threat is here for the toxicity, but the problem with the Spida trade was the problem with the Melo trade.
People were saying "can't let Timofey mozgov stand in the way" but it's not one player, its the totality. It was too much. We benefited from not making that trade. Cavs were nothing until they got Kenny.

I'm assuming none of that matters if they had pure capspace to sign him just like OKC did. They were over the cap and only had his early bird right so they could only offer him a 75% raise plus bonuses I believe but if they were $25-35M under the cap I assume that restriction would not apply.

I mean, the other thing to remember is that with Randle means with Randle AND Reid. Without Randle means depleted bench.

Their best team this year is Reid-Randle-Edwards-Donte-NAW

Best case for them is for Gobert to win DPOY and for them to cash in on that, trade him for cap space and value (picks) and replace him with more affordable rim protection off the bench. Claxton would be too expensive, but Gafford could be an idea.
