Bron has got some nerve, since he is trying to trade away his teamates

Read on Twitter

Kevin Durant's desire to be mentioned with the GOATs might result in him leaving the comfort of the Warriors' super team and embark on a quest to win a title on his own.

According to The Athletic's Ethan Strauss, Durant "believed" beating the Cavaliers during the 2017 Finals would allow him to dethrone King James and become the new face of the NBA. Yet, although Warriors won the championship, KD was still in LeBron's shadow. This is because despite Durant gaining the Final's MVP, James averaged a triple-double and was still seen as the series best player. To add insult to ego, Durant's second place standing didn't change even after sweeping the Cavs in the finals the following year.

The reason for this is rooted in his teammates. While his controversial decision to join an already stacked Golden State Warriors team proved fruitful in terms of championships, it has been detrimental to Durant's legacy. Even though the 2014 NBA MVP has all the hardware needed to get into the Hall of Fame, to be mentioned in the GOAT conversation, Durant must answer the biggest question mark of his career: "Can he do it alone?"

According to those around him, KD's obsession with scratching that off his checklist will force him to leave the Bay and prove that he can build his own dynasty.

LOL, so I think the elephant in the room is that this kid probably ain’t really built for NY. I don’t think any of his opinions are wrong per se but he’s way too sensitive about the media...

He’s gonna have meltdown when he goes to the corner store in Manhattan and sees a negative backpage picture of himself in Daily News, smh... could handle the media treatment/pressure Ewing got here? Charles Smith?

NY will eat this kid alive

This was like an SNL skit. He should have known being quiet wasn't gonna smooth things over.

I don’t mind him being annoyed by it and he’s human and even Kyrie was annoyed it IS a distraction tbh, but this dude is just EXTRA with everything smh

If it bothers him now it’ll only get worse when he comes here

No, that was weak and unprofessional. "The world is mean, you people are mean people, I don't trust you".

He's angry because he's insecure but he's projecting his anger towards the media because he doesn't want to hold himself accountable for his own actions. Of course some members of the media will try to stir sh*t up to create headlines. He's just afraid they're going to make him crack under pressure but that's his problem. His whole attitude is despicable.

He's just not built for it.

*Edit: my bad if you were being sarcastic.

Pretty decent poker face I'd say. I don't take KD to be the kind of guy who lashes out publicly at the media like this. This is more a LBJ/Kyrie on their period type of response. Who knows, maybe he is that upset and this is contradictory to how he's been the majority of his career or mayhaps he's trying to hide something?

these are the exact type of pieces we need written to push KD further to NY. play on his emotions and sensitivity to being in lebron’s shadow. he prolly even more tight he still not considered the best player in the league despite lebron’s team not even being in the playoffs rn.

keep up the good work ethan.
