It's always depressing when the Deputy Commish takes over and tries to make like the 2nd round is exciting. But, you don't know that we're not getting a 2nd.

No way. There is always a contingent of posters who stay for the whole draft and wallow in regret over everyone picked after the Knicks are done.

So that'll happen after 23 and again after the theoretical #38

With lots of "That's the guy I wanted the Knicks to get; they'll regret it" etc.

And sometimes, they are right

CLE knew we were f*cking with them

this all seems backwards... Nothing makes sense.

ya this doesn't make any sense.. Toppin would just fall to us instead of having to make a trade. Rose is about to get hoodwinked by Koby Altman

again my guess is Rose was trying to hoodwink CLE into trading down for okoro but instead of Toppin he was going to take Okoro at 5 and f*ck CLE.

I'm in that contingent, I was really just happy for other people.

I'll tune in for the inevitable knicks buying some pick in the 50s and drafting some g-leaguer who people overhype and demand minutes for

None... they are over the cap and luxury tax line
Philly was over the tax line now with the AH trade I think they a below now..

I was trying to think of a way the Knicks get them cap relief even if they don't get #2 or how the Knicks getting #2 makes sense in the context of some cap relief, but I've kind of worn myself out on Obi jokes etc.

Doesn't E-Balla have some legit contacts, which I'll assume he'll in no way jeopardize but I'm desperate for info...

I think there is a lot of baseless speculation, but also, what the Knicks, and I assume every organization does, is reach out to teams above and below to gauge potential deals, contingencies, swings for the fence and so on.

Kind of malfeasance if they don't.

I wish presti was Knicks GM then Knicks would actually be a rebuilding team instead of God knows what they are doing.
