Waited so long to trade him and now they need to attach assets for him. Chicago keeps thinking Lonzo Ball will magically turn healthy and they make a run.

His contract is ridiculous for a player who has never played in the playoffs. Max contract for what. And people have the nerve to slander players like Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert. At least they help you win basketball games.

This is why it was weird for me why they chose to tank out of the playoffs last year. Even with a lower seed, if you have Luka and Kyrie in the postseason, you always have a shot. No sense to tank for a lottery pick. But it did pay off for them to get Lively.

Because despite how insanely gifted they were offensively they realized that they needed defensive balance within the constrains of. their limited flexibility. You cant blame them I guess....but at the same time it seemed like a very " low rent" move. No one will remember though...they'll just remember the championship that they will win this season.

Those trades they made for G afford and that Charlotte Hornets dude really is what put them over the edge.

I underestimated Kyrie and Luka's impact. However, this is the first time I've seen rudy play a full game and -the first time I've
seen him in two series. I dont know how he won 4 DPOY's...I think if Naz started it could easily be 2-1 Minny...
I understand why the players voted him as the most overrated player...

This is why I keep saying it: trading Randle for anything less than Giannis would be a huge mistake.

It's clear also that Ant is completely gassed trying to keep up with Kyrie. Huge difference from having to defend Murray.

I honestly would enjoy watching this if it wasn't for Kyrie, because he's played his ass off and is locked in, but I can't. At least if Dallas goes all the way, it will be humiliating for the Nets organization on every level. I can take solace in that.

That being said, I tip my cap to the Mavs. Luka is an amazing player. Dude is chubby, smokes loosies, drinks beers, has no discernable lift and isn't very fast and yet, he takes people apart on the court surgically again and again. The teams who passed on this guy look crazy right now

Same. Kyrie off the court is a bigot and a fool and hard to root for no matter what his skills may be, but Luka really is a Babe Ruth character, eating trays of hot dogs and slugging homers. He shouldn't be able to do what he does looking like a slug out there, but he's got that sparkle in his fingertips.

In the 14 post season games that KAT has appeared in he’s averaging 7.3 drives per game. This is actually less than OG, Bam, Patrick Beverly and a hair over Norman Powell and Tre Murphy.

His assist % in the playoffs is 2.9, which is the lowest among all active playoff performers who logged more than 30min per game.

He’s racked up a whopping 3 blocks in 14 games (nearly 450 minutes).

His 3.1 post ups is less than Zubac and Bobby Portis and nearly twice as few as he used to receive in the first few years of his career. For a guy who is clearly skilled, has a soft touch and is very strong his shot diet is changing in the worst ways IMO.

If y’all wanna pay 60M for a guy whose going to spam 3s and is so clearly modeling his game off Brooke Lopez then go right ahead.

Yeah he is, that's the first person i thought off. The frightening part is that Luka at some point is going to have to cut the crap out and get leaner as he pushes towards his 30s if he wants to stay dominant.

I'm not sure what the context here is but I forgot that Tim Jr. was a Knick

At least in terms of competition, Luka and Kyrie vs Tatum and Brown is going to be must watch television for the Finals.

Brook is paid according to his role, which is to space and protect the rim, but even then he will still get you some baskets around the rim.

Julius Randle at 100% I take all day over KAT. At least Julius will get in there and put his shoulder into someone's chest

and trust me I'm no KAT fan never have been...I heard some nasty stories about him from people that know him and I never wanted him to be a Knick.

Nasty as in bad teammate material, selfish, degenerate, eats babies, massages Buzzardman's taint?

Return to New York Knicks
