Watching this presser in full now, multiple times, and knowing the context. KD makes great points and doesn’t come off salty or whiny to me at all.

The media really has turned this into a sh*t show, not just for KD, but for every big FA this summer including AD. They’ve gone out of control with the rumors with no sources, he say she say crap.

Once again, it's a couple of years before the Knicks are really ready for anything but fanbase has convinced itself every top FA is beating down the door to come here, when there are tons of signs they want the Clippers or LA or to just stay put.
Granted there are solid Durant rumors, but let's be honest, who knows?

And can all the Zion scenarios. Dude is getting drafted by someone else.

He can say whatever now, it's going to end up being twisted. Some people have decided to hate him because he dared to choose for himself. It is a problem with this type of coverage: Everyone's trying hard to voice their opinion and it's easy to play the judge through social media.
He's a great player, best in the league easy imo, and he'll get buckets wherever. He's proven to handle adversity when he stuck it between LeBron's eyes in the Finals despite being villainized by the rest of the world for his personal decision.

He should be quiet, sure, but I can't fault him for either his decision or his frustration with those greedy media scumbags.
