Yup. People make too big a deal about shooting when players are young. These guys all know they have to get better at it and they do.
I like guys who know how to make big plays in tight games at the end... That's the stuff you can't teach.
Haliburton was my guy. That one hurt. Cats on here were calling him Frankiburton.. remember that?

Since 2014 the Cavs have had:
LeBron
Kyrie
Love
Garland
Mobley
Knicks:
Beach azz KP and his inefficient post-ups
Fluky Randle for one year
D-Rose on his last legs

Suddenly they're the team.

Because the Knicks were, are, and always will be, a total f*cking joke.

Well that and the league has gift wrapped the Cavs multiple number 1 picks and pushes us down in the lotto every time we are in it

2011: 4th pick (and 1st pick from the Clippers)
2012: 4th pick
2013: 1st pick
2014: 1st pick
gap
2019: 5th pick
2020: 5th pick
2021: 3rd pick
And they had the 8th pick in 2018 from the Nets
So, to put it into perspective, in the last 3 years, they've had 3 top 5 picks. In the last 25 years, we've had 3 top 5 picks (RJ and KP, then you have to go back to Kenny Walker in 1986). And that's mostly ignoring luck cause they dropped 2 spots in both 2019 and 2020, but they did move up 2 spots last draft
In the last 10 years, they've had 7 top 5 picks, where we've had 7 top 5 picks in 45 years (Cazzie Russell, 1st overall pick in 1966, one year before we took Clyde 5th)
It's interesting, the Cavs are both an argument for and against tanking, cause they performed a much more successful tank from 2011-2014, with 2 4th overall selections and 2 1st overall selections (not counting the #1 from the Clippers), but from 2019-2021 they had 2 5th overalls and 1 3rd overall. Yet the players they got from the lesser picks are better
2011-2014 (again, not including the Clippers pick which got them Kyrie), they got Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett, and Andrew Wiggins. Of those 4, Wiggins is the best, but only Thompson ever really contributed to anything. Compared to the current core of Garland, Okoro, and Mobley, even with Wiggins' resurgence in GS, I think you take both Garland and Mobley over him, and Okoro over Thompson, Waiters, and Bennett
It just goes to show that scouting and player development are as important if not more important than raw draft position.

Knicks not only don't tank properly they have sucked at drafting for quite a while

we can't trade Rose this season but Burks IMO would be a solid trade chip. maybe get a similar return as the Marcus Morris deal

you can get 1st rounders for those 2. and you certainly should do that.
i don't totally buy into this stat. it is interesting though, of qualified players, rose is 1st, burks is 2nd, and then....wait for it...iq & mitch are 3rd and 4th
the worst 3 - randle, fournier & rj in that order......hello everyone...a very good afternoon to you all
