Let’s see if the Knicks hire Aytons cousin, brother, or uncle into our top tier staff. Then we will at least know we are interested.

Ayton is talented, but I don't trust him playing to his best capabilities after getting his money. I'm getting Eddy Curry vibes.

Question. Were the Knicks good enough to win another title in that 69-70 to 73-74 period?

The '71-'72 Knicks had Jerry Lucas at center, with Willis nursing his chronic knee issues (and not playing much). Had Willis been healthy...sure.

Also, there was no 3 point shot at that point but Lucas was a terrific long-range shooter. So had there been a three-point shot in that era, Lucas might have turned Wilt into a defensive liability. But as it was, Lucas couldn't handle Wilt down low over an extended series.

We won the 2nd championship with Willis temporarily enjoying a period of health in '72-'73 - but that period didn't last long. If memory serves me, he was suffering knee issues again early in the next season. And then the John Gianelli era commenced...

Yeah you do fam. Y’all be obsessed with hyping up mid players like Frank and RJ all the time while putting down stars  (Ja another example)
Anyways Tatum with 28 points shooting 66% from 3 last night while Wiggins had just 11 points shooting 33% from the field. Yikes! Liability on both ends. Gotta head out to work so I’ll let those numbers sink in for ya!

You're projecting lol. You're obsessed with Tatum so if someone brings someone else up, you think they're obsessing over that player, too.

Lol there’s people spamming Tatum is a skinny Julius Randle whenever he plays bad. Y’all are obsessed

Detroit is about to be nasty, flipside this is probably a clear sign Mitch is staying because between Detroit getting Ayton, and the Hornets likely taking centers for their younger team it’s scary.

Cade
Siddiq
Ayton

A top #5 pick too… if they add say Keegan Murray to that… scary.

Considering the significance of the game and one of the top NBA moments of all time, that’s pretty cheap honestly for it. I wonder how known it was when this jersey was up for auction cause this fan base has some super high rollers that would have paid much more for that. This is the grail of all grails of Knick Memorabilia that can ever exist outside of the Jersey he wore that night.

If he decides to flip this and market it right he can fetch a lot more.

How funny would it be to see Ayton and Bagley on the same team? Two busts that had no business going before Luka and Trae oof you know Suns fans are pissed especially with how Luka abused them last series

Detroit on the other hand becoming a dumping ground for busts
DENVER NUGGETS
Jamal Murray/Ty Jerome/Dante Exum
Zach Lavine/Ayo Dosunmu/Corey Kispert
Aaron Gordon/Harrison Barnes/Isaac Okoro
Jakob Poeltl/Moussa Diabate/Karlo Matkovic

It was asinine for the Kings to trade for Sabonis, and now it looks even worse, cause they could have just traded the pick + whatever else for Ayton

That is very true, but how would they have known they would get the fourth pick? :dontknow: I will say I think giving up on Haliburton for Sabonis was premature but their the kings.
