It's the worst trade in recent memory. Possibly the worst trade since the first Harden trade and the Billy King special.

I hate the Kings for what they have done to what was once one of the most fun franchises in the NBA.

Not even close. Kings sucked with Haliburton and the Pacers suck with him now. Sabonis is nothing special and he’s definitely weak defensively but Haliburton stinks on defense too and no matter what direction the Kings took they would have still sucked like the Pacers do now. That trade was a wash.

But if we are talking worst trades this one might be the worst we’ve seen

Considering I was the only one hyping him up at the draft and was the first person to even bring him up in the draft discussion I’d say nope . He’s a good player but not a franchise changing player. Sabonis is a good player too so it was an even swap.

Not even close. Kings sucked with Haliburton and the Pacers suck with him now. Sabonis is nothing special and he’s definitely weak defensively but Haliburton stinks on defense too and no matter what direction the Kings took they would have still sucked like the Pacers do now. He's probably not a franchise player I agree but he still projects as an excellent NBA player overall. Indiana is devoid of talent besides him, Mathurin - a rookie - and Myles Turner - a support player.

Sabonis is a talented player but he puts a ceiling on your team hence they built a treadmill. Keeping Haliburton and trading Fox was more conducive to a consistent, high-ceiling rebuild. Indiana's undergoing it instead of them.

He should never close on a team that aspires to win games. It's pretty sad for a former MVP, but hey the interviews are still gold and he can still occasionally give you a highlight play.

But the one issue the Lakers can't fix is that AD is not the man. With LeBron ageing, it's a problem they won't overcome. They should blow it up now.

So how does that not apply to Haliburton? Did he help improve the Kings? Has he helped improve Indiana? Sabonis took the Pacers to the playoffs despite them not having much talent either. He’s not a scrub so that’s what I’m saying it was a wash. Kings weren’t good with Haliburton and their backcourt was getting lit up when he was there. Fox is better without him, he had a great year before him and he’s having a great year without him now too. And Haliburton is going to be due for an extension real soon so he will be in that same boat real soon.

He (AD) really hasn't looked strong to start the season. Methinks his brittleness has taken a toll on his psyche. He used to be more aggressive.

they have like 6 actual nba players but i don't think not helping is harsh enough. he's actively hurting. not that they're world beaters but they would be better simply if he didn't play. they probably win yesterday if they didn't put him back into the game. they were up 8.
