On another note, while I was away, I had a dream that I ran into you in NYC and you explained that you were actually from the East Coast. You said not to tell anyone.

Dreaming of this place is truly wild.

I did spend a summer biking the east coast back in 2004. I took a train by NYC. Was still to this day one of the most intimidating things I've every seen and Ive seen some sht. It was too much for your boy.

Ill never leave my current location. Its perfectly located for my lifestyle. Im next to the sea, less than an hour drive to the N. Cascades and about an hour to Vancouver BC or Seattle. Its dope.

Do you have any pictures from that ride?

I should post my recent mushroom forage finds.

Sadly, I didnt take one pic from this adventure. Tbf, it was early mid 00s and I was in my 20s so being in it was more important than capturing it.

You know sham is too prideful to ask you to post em so send em.

Gosh, you're right Guano. He's too far down the rabbit hole to even ask even though you can see the curiosity.

Top: Yellow chanterelles and pig ears (violet chanterelles)
Mid/Left: White chanterelles
Mid/Right: Lobster
Bottom Left: 10 Admirable bolete, two King Boletes, and a lactarious deliciosus
Bottom Right: Puffballs <--- edible but kinda gross. I threw most of these out.

I could have taken probably triple the lobster mushrooms that I took but I didn't want them to crush the other ones. I left a ton of lactarious and pig ears too as they break easily.

An actual Mudiay stay fixing his keyboard to say anything is a choice. I'm going at it with MeL0 which is entertaining, you trying to join in is like Mudiay trying to double Steph when Dame and him are getting active. Nobody is here to see you Gavvy.

Mudiay recently winning MVP of the week awards while ya boy Frank getting cut from the French ymca. sad

I don't know where Frank is, I don't care. You still care where both players are and still stanning Mudiay.

I do know Thibs will not be on our sidelines, and that deeply hurts you 8-)

I have various preservation techniques (drying, freezing, pickling) that allows me to have good tasting wild mushrooms year round. Drying, for example, actually brings out the flavor of the boletes. I keep a small amount of those out in the fridge fresh to use over the course of roughly week. I'm gonna go back to the same area this week and anticipate a similar or greater haul, likely including matsutake and hopefully including cauliflower.

The lobsters are prized but I find they don't taste like much on their own. They are really crunchy though and pair well with seafood, meats, and even pizzas, picking up the flavors of the dish.

Of those, the admirable boletes are my favorite. They have a sweet, lemony smell when you dry them. But all have their use.

Boletes with chicken in a creamy pasta sauce?!?! That sounds amazing. Jealous af of your knowledge and skill.

Nodope, cap is the one truly capable of running a militia. He has the skills to forage for food and the skills to control water ways.

If i dont have a trader joes down the street were dying of starvation and if I cant upload a gpx file to my phone we're lost. lol.

Last year?

Jk jk

Honestly made me sweat seeing it. Reminded me of taking chemistry in college - not cause I needed to take the class for my major, but I thats where all the nursing students were at and I've always done dumb sht for the cause.

At least you didn't have to take Organic Chem 1 and 2. Bruh that sht had me fighting for my life. Barely passed with C's. Lab was the worst. You basically had to be a chef and I kept fking up everything

I took genetics in college. They had me breeding fruit flies to see what the recessive gene was. Thank gawd I smoked weed wirh the professor or I would have failed that class.
