Explain those numbers. Theres nothing "rosy" about those. They are FACTS that show Gallo has a tremendous impact, much more than just his FG% shows.

Anyway I feel this thread is going down the tubes again. Oh well.

Yes, because the more people harp on his TS% and that he ranks high on some of these stats we cannot have a real discussion about the points which led you to create this thread.

If everything was honky-dory then why create this thread? You obviously feel that something is not "right" and needs to be corrected. Splicing numbers is not going to get it done.

Not your fault DK. Im usually in agreement with you. I just thought we were having a good discussion but it turned into any other Gallo thread with the ad hominem sh*t. I think you're perfectly reasonable, but some people get sensitive when they are challenged I guess. Especially the big bad 20,000+ post guys. WINK lol. Its obvious you and Bluest/Stutter are on different sides of the spectrum, but you can all have good debates if some stop getting so defensive. Ignoring posters is just childish IMO, unless that person is an obvious troll or baiter, which you are not. In fact I think you're one of the best posters here and keep doing your thing.

No TS% or PPS or anything you dont like here. Just offensive/defensive rating and win shares. The stats that Basketballreference.com ranks its players by for every team. The stats that show which players truly impact the team positively. The stats that all the best players in the league excel in. But yup theres no explanation. They just must be made by a Gallo fan. Gotcha! Back to FG%.

For explanation on these stats:

For players, the formula is: Offensive Rating = (Points Produced / Individual Possessions) x 100

Points can be produced through field goals, free throws, assists, and offensive rebounds. Individual possessions are the sum of a player's scoring possessions (field goals, free throws, plus partial credit for assists), missed field goals and free throws that the defense rebounds, and turnovers.

These stats arent perfect, no stat is, but they are very interesting and popular nonetheless. Im sure if Gallos usage is upped we will either see his stats rise with more opportunities or fall with more responsibility/attention. Either way his numbers are off the charts right now, but even last season his O Rating/Win Shares were 2nd on the team to Lee so its not like this is out of left field.

Nobody had to use TS and other bogus stats to defend Micheal Jordan game. Thank God those stats are not on the back of basketball cards. Those stats are brought to you by the people who help create default swap and other number games to crash the economy.
