Even if he doesn't get the extension? I'm comparing him signing an extension to him not signing. Assuming his only way to get to NYC is as a FA, what is the dollar value difference?

You have Leon Rose, Wm Wesley and CAA both privately & openly screwing the Knicks franchise.

LeBron almost certainly arranged to join Bosh and Wade on the Heat but he seemed to waver at the end. Rose made sure that he didnt change.

In this present case, Rose & Wesley are using their influence & misinformation to both Melo and the public in order to keep Melo away from NYK. They are getting away with it because Stern is looking the other way.

Nobody knows. People have speculated he would lose money in the new CBA, but nobody can say for sure or for how much.

Even so, I honestly don't see Denver pushing this to the summer. They have too much at risk

yup its amazing to see 2 people with no athletic talent at all (Wesley & Leon Rose) altering the course of basketball history so much. all the people saying its Melo's decision in the end and all this nonsense, hes being told crap by these 2 clowns every day about the Nets. Saying he will be the face of the franchise in NJ in Brooklyn in 2012 and all that nonsense.

Melo is the face of Denver right now. Something like that won't make him forget the Nets suck and aren't the Knicks, and don't have his best friend on the roster

But just from a basketball standpoint it makes no sense. No amount of influence should be able to counteract common sense. As many have already said ,Melo needs to shut those clowns down.

Yes we will. He seems pretty relaxed and I've started to see signs that he and his agents are not working on this together. That means the Nets thing could be a pretty big farce.
