You mean you need good players to win a championship?

Wow

**** SHOCKER

Alright, then keep supporting a mediocre team. Good luck.

that's the truth. that's been the goal from when Donnie started here. People think they are acting the opposite of IT (good) by nobly holding onto mediocre role players and thinking they're more valuable than stars - they aint. You get melo here with Amare and you build from there..... you dont shed space, sign Amare, put a average team around him, and continue to add average players... you put stars around him, it's a stars league as Donnie has acknowledged...

Does this situation warrant us to give up assets Melo would ordinarily be worth - nope... but landing stars is priority 1 for winning, putting pieces around them is 2.

LOL @ anyone who really thinks Melo is going to the Nets, its just hilarious.

And on the off chance that Melo some how did sign the ext. to go to NJ ROFL @ Melo. The Knicks would still be LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Nets AND we'd still be more likely to sign other top FAs in the summer of 2012. I dont even think with Melo and Lopez the Nets would make the playoffs in the weak east. They'd be what we were last year at best imo.

#Cavs thought they were close to 3-way deal w/NJ & Den previously. Den pulled out, per source, b/c it wanted all draft picks to themselves

Jason Lloyd is the Cavs beat writer.

Let's play /....../ NIGERIAN ROULETTE

Before we even have a firm deal ... let's tell a key potential trading partner that we want all the draft picks

Smart... very very Ujiri.... New term for stupid negotiting.... THAT'S SO UJIRI!

HOLY CRAP. The Melo trades are being run by Urji as nothing more than ONE BIG NIGERIAN 419 SCAM.

Someone from the Knicks should make sure Urji confirms the Melo transaction by having a picture of him with a fish on his head!

Man, the panic level of some of you guys is even worse than it was during FA.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but there you go.

Some of you guys gotta put your man pants on. The crying is embarrassing.

So if Melo goes to NJ, you're done with the Knicks?

Never, but for once i would like to see this team jump over that hurdle and become great. Stop playing footsies.

Seriously does anyone realize that the Kobe trade was not even as unreasonable and it's Kobe!? Melo ain't Kobe and theyre asking for a damn near Jordan price. They're a bunch of leeches and this is the dawn of that franchise and the Cavs to endure another period of suckiness.

I'm actually quite enjoying this. You start to see who these posters really are deep down, and you get a real insight into their creativity (coming up with creative ways as to why melo is going to ny, or not coming to ny).

Very enjoyable. 7/10. Would read again.

IF this NYDN beat writer for the Nets is correct -- and that is a matter of some doubt since he was very wrong before -- then I'm cautiously optimistic. Giving us a meeting first is a good sign. And he's still not pinning down a meeting with the Nets?

Pretty *interesting* sign.

I will be shocked if he agrees to go to the Nets. Hell if he wanted to go to that train wreck he would of been a Net 3 months ago.

This! In the endgame... IMO Denver is angling for Gallo to be included... and he will be.
Gallo + 1 (Chandler/Fields) + pick + Curry + Walker...??? I think they are looking for this....
If it's Dolan... he'll say yes....
If Donnie.... maybe we wait till FA... or pull the +1

Just my opinion.

Good, good. Didn't realize you were just browsing. I thought you abandoned your RealGM Knick board roots :)

I said we went from Fear the Chair to Fear the Walker. Those were the days.
