im thinking Lin would have loved to sign a contract early... and had a chance to play with the select team

Yea, we knew you would. Note that the title of the thread says "Done with NYK" which implies you have to have been a Knick fan in the first place.

it'll just be another bad move after years and years of bad moves. i've endured this long, i can keep going if we lose a player who only started for 25 games - yeah, 25 remarkable games, but i bet a lot of the people who think they'll move on are just overreacting in the moment. they'll still cheer when this team gets to the ecfs (which i believe we still will).

a lot of others are in denial. don't give me this bs about "loyalty" and "selfishness"; lin owes us nothing. it's completely obvious that you're just trying to rationalize the latest dumb knicks move; don't fool yourself.

in conclusion, it's unfortunate, but that's what i've come to expect, so i'll get over it like i have so many other things.

I'll never be anything other than a Knicks fan, but if Lin isn't re-signed, I want Dolan out.

These results are way too close. This is the Knicks, the logic for not matching Lin is far within the realm of reason to not up and abandon the team. All the heartache is only going to make it much sweeter when the team ends up winning the title.

It's not about Lin personally. It's years of bad, irrational decisions.

Players come and players go. This is not Magic Johnson reincarnated we're talking about here...root for the laundry.

Isiah would have matched Jeremy Lin's offer sheet.

We just spent a total of like 44 million over 3 years on the contracts of Novak, Felton, Camby, and Kidd and now suddenly, FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY! Some of you are a joke.

Yeah I mean... was a SINGLE person complaining about Novak's contract? Was ANYBODY complaining when it looked for months like Lin would be making at least $11m his third year?

No; it's people who blindly support whatever the team does.

Overreaction!!! Lin and his agent are not acting like they want to come back to the Knicks. If Lin wanted to come back and WIN in NY then why would they ask to restructure the original offer sheet with a bloated 3rd year which may limit the Knicks from improving?

Now that Felton is back, there is no need to overpay for Lin. Their stats are similar under D'Antoni's system. You can argue that an in shape Felton will be better in Woodson defense oriented system.

Felton - 10-11
17ppg, 9apg, 1.8spg, 3.26TO, 38.4 mpg

Lin - 11-12
14.6ppg, 6.2apg, 1.6spg, 3.6TO, 26.9 mpg

I wanted Lin back but it seems he does not want to be in NY. Welcome back Felton and Kurt Thomas!!!

I like a lot of you here and some I dont like.

But if any of you dump the Knicks because Lin may not come back please leave now. Just get out. You went through Isiah but you cant get through this.

If you mean losing hope for a championship or being a good team thats fine. But to drop the Knicks as your team. Please leave. Hand in you Knicks fan card an wander into the abyss.

Four players for 44 million or one player for 30 million...Anyone who wants to leave if Lin goes was never a real Knicks fan to begin with.

Were you not doing that in the Kidd thread?
And people did say Novak contract was stupid. All he is, is a stand still shooter.
