10 days ago, Lin was a lock to be with the Knicks. So obviously, this isnt all on that.

No it wasn't a lock. Reports were already surfacing on July 5th that the Knicks were heavily pursuing Raymond Felton.

MSG has been losing about 40 million a day every day since Houston made their offer and still people are saying that Lin has little effect. SMH

"a fool and his money are soon parted."

i would suggest you never start trading. equities tend to trade in the same directions as major indices, barring major news events.

the fact that world markets have all rallied the past few weeks while msg has tanked speaks volumes.

don't let facts hit ya on the way out, though!

Wow, MSG stock is way down. They lost a bunch of money.

"Well, yes but such a downtick should be expected under the bernoulli principal of low-yield fluid capitalization, by which the market correction algorithm indicators clearly predict that my head is exactly the size of my own anus.

You think Dolan gives two sh*ts? He's out golfin with JR Smith, b*tch. Bwahahaha!"

Felton too, I can imagine their conversations

Dolan- Hey boys, we really got that chinese guy good huh?!
JR- Yeah **** that lil bitch we got that boy gud
Dolan- That's my boy! Can't wait to give you a 4 year extension in the near future!
Felton- Mr Dolan I have to go soon, about to hit the gym
Dolan- Oh don't worry about that, not a big deal. Let's go another 18, shall we?

I dont follow the stock... but I would assume the stock trades in a cyclical manner... trending lower in the summer months...

not signing Lin probably exacerbated the stocks decline as it was trending lower...

its probably a good long term buy... NY fans seems to buy tickets merchandize and tune into the games, no matter how bad the product is... :D

my usual advice to someone looking to get into trading stock is DONT... but if you are intent on it paper trade for 2 years... if you have the patience to do that then you might have a chance...

* this is not investment advice nor can it take account of your own particular circumstances. If you require any advice on investments, you should contact a financial or other professional adviser.

In addition to being angry about losing Lin, I'm also angry about losing $$$ because my MSG stock continues to drop. I bought it before the 2010 free agency when it first went public at $20 per share. It came close to reaching $37 per share but now it has been dropping every day.

it should reach close to $40 based on estimates so just hold out. Some estimates have it in mid $40 range. It will take some time to reach the appropriate price so dont expect to be able to sell right away.
