Odom's best year was in Miami the year before he got traded. Holiday is deceptively quick... he doesn't waste any motion though so it's sneaky.

he's a fluid athlete. reminds me of brandon roy in the regard.

@ibraheim718: Jrue is not fast at all, not quick. He's just smart and knows when how to use his body, size, and positioning well. But he plays in slow motion.

Lakers: I do think the death of Buss will help Lakers turn their season around. If they couldn't play for any reason, his death should inspire them to play harder, more together, etc. If this doesn't turn their season around, nothing will.

JRue reminds me a bit of a souped up Andre Miller.

no one saying he's an elite defender. But he's pretty good and better than most PGs defensively

As a fan of the position I'm absolutely loving this era of basketball... I wish more of the Pg's in the league were a little better at the subtleties of playing the position but the talent at the position is insane.

Picture this.. I'm a starting PG... one night I've got to guard Parker, then Paul, then Curry, then take a trip east to deal with Rondo or Irving.. then I've got Westbrook on a back to back... A night off is going up against a guy like George Hill who is going to make my night a living hell offensively.

This is definitely the PG era.

Meanwhile, the true shooting guard has gone the way of the dodo. There was a time when you were looking at Jordan, Drexler, Miller, Dumars, Rauf, Starks, Ellis, Ehlo, Dell Curry, Rice, Smith, Elliot, Majerlie, Where are the shooting guards that can shoot?!

I'm just happy that that back to the basket guys are beginning to poke their heads out of the sand again. Just after Groundhog Day too...

First quick and fast are two different things when you're talking about it in the context of the sport. Second go read his scouting report and look at his combine numbers. Guys like Rondo and Westbrook ran their 3/4 sprints faster then he did but he did the lane agility drills in better time. While he may not be "fast" from end to end in a sprint... he's extremely "quick" from side to side laterally. He's also great at changing speeds and hesitating which leads to him getting by his man whenever he wants. What you call "playing in slow motion" we used to call "letting things marinate" and there is nothing wrong with that.

Lin's numbers at the time of bet:
12.3 ppg
43.8%
6.3 apg

Since the bet
14.5 ppg
43.9%
6.25 apg

Didn't add it all together. But it's gettin' fun, innit?
Keep them assist number UP, Jeremy!

I think if they start playing Robinson and Motiejunas a lot more since they just traded their two jump shooting 4's his assists number will climb a little bit. He seems to have good chemistry with Motiejunas and Robinson's ability to finish is leaps and bounds better than anything they traded. But he got suspended didn't he? The guy you made the bet with...

Did FDR? I've been MIA for awhile. I saw 21Shumpst get suspended in epic nature.

Asik really has hands of ass. It's quite remarkable how many passes he drops so I hope these other dudes can pick it up a bit.

I wonder if there was any way to get Arron Afflalo. The dude is the perfect 2-guard IMO. Good shooter, defender and decent slasher.

The Magic moved DH12 for him being the best player at the time (now Vucevic is). They're high on him. But AAA's D has regressed in recent years as he's expanding his O. But right now AAA >> Shump.

Thanks, that was an epic meltdown. For some reason I've witnessed a lot of those on this board, this one was amusing though.

For all the talk about shooting, Felton is averaging only 0.4 more 3-pointers made per game. He is shooting 35.3% from 3 while Lin is shooting 32.5%. It's not like there's a huge gap there. People make it sound as if Lin shoots like Rondo, which isn't the case. He does have an outside shot.
