Now nobody wants to play with Kyrie Irving? Lol

I'd trade the whole Knicks team, minus Melo, Prigs & Hardaway Jr., for Kyrie Irving. I'm pretty sure Melo would love to play with Kyrie instead of Felton.

No one on the cavs wants to play with Kyrie, thats what I meant by currently, where he currently is.

Just curious, if you left those names as untouchable in a deal for Kyrie, what would you expect to offer...Shump and Artest?

No. We can't get Kyrie unless we have a 3rd team. Using Tyson & Felton &/or JR for bait & sending the return to the Cavs, plus Shump. If there's any type of chance.

I honestly wouldn't call any of that "bait".

I thought in your scenario Kyrie is for Westbrook?

Thats ridiculous justification. The person you quoted was right. This is a team where the defenders cant score and the offensive players cant defend. What happens is we start telling everyone seperatley " thats your job" its Melos job to score 33% of our points. Its Shumperts job to defend our perimeter alone. Its Tysons job to defend our interior alone. Then we wonder why every sole defender we've ever had starts not even looking like he's playing defense, because theres never a good defensive system and three guys saying " but defense is Chandlers job"

Joachim Noah would still be a great rebounder/defender on a team with a 6'1 backcourt, a 6'5 SG who nobody even wants anymore, And Melo. And when we went big he'd have Bargnani. Im not saying Chandler is worth his contract but I still think he's a quality role playing C. And whats more, I could see him resigning at something we'd be more comfortable with. I mean, if he got paid 8-10 mil rather and 12-14, then thats a fair deal. And assuming you then went and got a real post up PF I think we'd be able to appreciate Chandler again.

But no, Chandler doesnt have one superstar C surrounded by guard ability. In fact the only other one I knew was Dwight Howard on the Orlando Magic. None of the suggestions that Im sure people will share on this site do. Maybe Hibbert. But the guy you are suggesting should be able to BY HIMSELF average about 13/13&3blcks to make up for how small we play. I dont think thats impossible but extremely hard to do consistently.

It's different with bigs. A lot of times they don't necessarily like basketball but do it because they are tall. Many times they felt kind of forced to do it by family and friends.

That may very well be true.

I am 5'8 in shoes and if i could i would play upwards of 4 hours everyday. Addicted to balling lol

What? try almost every post from page 9 on...but I'm not quoting them all...

Kyrie Irving?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=mmb3ccq

Knicks acquire: Russell Westbrook & Kendrick Perkins
(Deals: Raymond Felton, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith, Tyson Chandler, 2015 1st rd swap, & 2018 1st rd pick)

Thunder acquire: Kyrie Irving, JR Smith, Raymond Felton, Andersan Varejao & 2015 1st rd swap via NYK
(Deals: Russell Westbrook, Kendrick Perkins, Reggie Jackson & 2014 1st rd pick)

Cavs acquire
: Reggie Jackson, Iman Shumpert, Tyson Chandler, 2014 1st pick via OKC, & 2018 1st rd pick via NYK
(Deals: Kyrie Irving & Andersan Varejao)

later on, you explained it , when another poster questioned it.....

Now that KD took the next step, why not?

Westbrook has had 2 injuries in 1 year now.
Kyrie Irving is younger & doesn't rely as much on his athletic ability.
Kyrie is also on his rookie contract for 2 more seasons.
Kyrie has potential to be better than Westbrook.
If it's a trade that can improve the bench & Center position before the playoffs, why not?

Yeah, but you're acting as if I said Kyrie Irving, by himself, can obtain a talent in Westbrook. Which isn't the case.

Haven't watched it yet, but should be interesting. Here's a video breaking down what's different with Tyson this year and why he's less effective:

And just like that, the lead has been cut to 8!

Problem is Jordan is having breakout year averaging 10/14/2.5 while shooting almost 7% better from the field better than Chandler while being 6 years younger and paid $3 million less per year. The time to do t his trade was before this season started. Now? Not a chance. And that's not taking into account that Jordan and Griffin are besties on the team.
