Both TJ Clemmings and Tre Jackson failed their physicals. Bad knee for Tre and foot fracture for TJ. If the medical staff feels that these injuries aren't long term problems, I'd be fine with them. Jarvis is a 7th rounder IMO.

Well others aren't turn off by the physicals.. they both just got select 110th and 111th... ..

I think this is probably the perfect time to draft a developmental QB. Time for Simms to go. I like the pick.

Couldn't tell you with Petty. He was in a system which consisted of passes down field or passes to the WR on the line of scrimmage. Watched every Baylor game. His backup replaced him one game and put up the SAME if not better numbers.

Big body, good attitude.

If I were to guess...he won't amount to anything. I remember him w Gruden and he watched a Aaaron Rodgers throw and he just laughed and shook his head. Told me a lot right there.

HUGE competitor, huge arm (with great touch), and nice size for QB. Aside from what you said, he's also got injury concerns. Honestly though, 4th round isn't a bad place for him, although I do like Hundley more. If the Jets' qb ends up **** up again this year, they'll get one next year some way some how.

The obligatory Bryce Petty highlight reel. I like this pick in that there is no need to rush him to start now. Let him sit and watch a year or two and then hopefully he'll be ready.

It's a late round pick, but I agree we could've probably gotten him in the 6th. Looks like we were the only team that had him in for a visit.

From another forum:

Texas Fan here, Giants, what you got is an elite athlete who was really starting to develop into a solid player under Charlie Strong. Before Charlie was hired Mykelle was soft as a pillow, but he's turned into a more complete safety. He can also play corner if needed. There are no limitations on him physically, he's as athletic as any DB in this draft, he just needs to develop with his attitude in the game. He's not a dog yet.

Jarvis Harrison might be a steal in the 5th round if he gets his **** together.

Not bad, and I'm not mad at taking shots on athlete's this late, but we could probably have waited a round.

Happy with the draft. I wanted Scherff but content with Flowers. Really hyped about Collins!!! Reese gets a B+.

Satisfying draft for my Jets.

L. Williams going to be a beast with Sheldon & Mo. Snacks there as well. Don't think Mo will be traded either. I think Williams can spell Snacks after this year tbh.

Devin Smith is underrated. I think he has a bigger route tree down pat than what people think. He is going to do good with BMarsh & Decker on that field. Amaro too. Bucky Brooks thinks he has #1 WR traits but I'll wait until I see him play this season.

Mauldin doesn't has to be a star. Just solid with the type of defense we have. He has the determination to be very solid. Liked the pick.

Bryce Petty was a target I was looking at in a trade back in round 2 or round 3. Glad we got him in the 4th. He has potential & Gailey can work on him for the next season.

Last 2 picks are a wash for me. The OT picked in round 5 can be good if he isn't lazy. That's his knock.

Like the Zac Stacy trade. Basically was a 5th for Brandon Marshall & Zac Stacy. Good get Big Mac.

Jets 1st (toooooooo hyped!) and 2nd were great picks. But I think we're all going to be VERY happy with Mauldin and Petty. Both have pretty strong work ethics and both have a good heads on their shoulders.

Mauldin should have an impact right away, but hopefully a year under Fitzpatrick and learning the offense/developing a relationship with the team will turn Petty into a legit starter for the future.

VERY pleased with this draft. Oh yea, and Zac Stacey... cool

Good draft for both NY teams. Giants O-Line should be good for years to come with Flowers, Schwartz, and Pugh. If Flowers can become an elite LT he is a steal.

Trading up for Collins was a good move. Best safety in the draft and it was a need position. He should've gone in the first round.

The DE from UCLA, alphabet soup, looks like a beast. Should help the D-Line right away.

5th round pick was strictly for ST but I heard he is young and can develop into a good cover Safety.

WR FROM UCONN looks like a strong WR with good hands and was a Captain. I like the pick.

OL from FSU could help but idk much about him.

I give Reese a B+ ... That 5th round pick was a reach

Jets had a nice draft. The GM knows what he's doing. Fans should be genuinely excited.

We also picked up Akeem Hunt, who is lightning fast and could be a pr/kr.
