they took away center from the all-star game anyway.

So you have 3 forwards

Posse
Melo
KP

Name me some more starter type guys in the east with NY type voting backing them.

paul george got more votes than melo last year. he'll probably be a starter again.

also, jimmy butler can go in as a forward now too.

Much better rebounder though. I can comfortably say that even though Marc is more like ROLO in that he clears for boards. I'll fall back on the defensive criticism. He's showing potential.

I thought Marc would be a good rebounder when he first started, he certainly has the positioning to secure them. But yes Billy does have some more toughness down in the paint that I wasn't expecting. Just makes it easier to slide Noah into that Bogut role. Get your starts, set the tone, then let the ballers ball.

I like Willie; I think he's going to be starter material by the end of the year. He's already in the rotation and eating into Noah's and KOQ's minutes, though KOQ is still playing well. It's a testament to how well Willie is playing and his overall offensive skill and quickly developing defense.

Just to play devils advocate. There seems to be a narrative here (especially after losses) that KP is really a 5. Well, Willie is also most clearly a 5. There is no PF in Willie at all, really, while KP has some. Can they really start together, defensively, with tiny stretch 4's running around all game long (who KP would be guarding). I think they have the passing and feel for the game, plus KP with the outside touch, to play on offense, no question. It's D that the board seems concerned with, at least after loses.

I'm not sure the opposing 4's speed advantage against KP will be greater than our size advantage on the frontline with KP and Willy. and its not just size, both of these guys are skilled offensively.

I can see KP splitting his minutes at the 4 and 5 the rest of his career like Duncan did. Maybe 20 minutes at PF and 15 minutes at C when willy is resting.

Yeah, Noah was especially solid today.
his absence was quite beneficial, played a positive role in the victory today!

Not if Melo keeps playing the way he's playing and the Knicks keep winning.

Plus, you and I are not voting for PG when ALL our votes are going to Melo and KP right Shamm?

Melo and KP make the Knicks one of only a few teams with two 20+ ppg scorers (Cavs have 3).

Mark my words.

KP will be starting in the ASG and it will be well-deserved.

Hopefully, Melo takes it okay :D :D :D

They can both start. KP is a center anyway

Willie isn't a PF though.

Right now, according to the board, the Knicks are best with Melo at the 4, KP at the 5, someone (Holiday) at the 3.

Knicks can't start Willie this year, if you believe that is the best lineup.

edit:

WillieB has a lot of offensive awareness and would be a very good C to play next to KP, IF you think two bigs can play in todays NBA. Also, would be a nice look post Melo.

Not sure KP/Willie/Melo is effective for the NBA right now, though I wish it was. I like them all.

Some of these players and teams out there...they go all out doing lame, gimmicky sh*t to get votes...

To my knowledge, we don't do that, and I doubt Phil cares about that.

JVG says no matter what every team is going to get 90 PTS and 45 REBS.
