it would be Kanter plus a player to make salaries work

otherwise itll be challenging

Adams is their only other expendable player who makes significant money

Kanter doesnt really have a future on this team IMO

I love me some Adams.

I don't know what's the hate with Kanter? The guy can score down low and is a good rebounder. He's weak defensively but so is Melo. Kanter and a future first for Melo

Doesn't that guy have some personal issues or things going on overseas?

While I hate that we put this in Melo's contract, players should have some power to not be traded to places they don't want to be, especially when you consider that they have no say on their first team from the draft.

Being bad as a swingman isn't nearly as bad as being a big who can't play D. Hence "OKC Coach Billy Donovan Appears to Say 'Can't Play Kanter"

The problem is KP.
He needs to be moved full time to center sooner rather than later.

We actually need a PF that has an inside game but can defend the perimeter(Bam in Miami), swings and a PG. I think Frank will eventually become our SG.

If we can trade Melo to Miami maybe we can just get Bam and fillers back.

KP/Willy
Bam
MKG(very good rebounder and defensive player)
Frank
PG?

That should be the team around KP. MKG is actually the perfect fit for him and shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Really good rebounder too. That covers KP. Get a PG with an itchy trigger finger(you have a facilitator in Frank) and we should be solid.

OKC isn't trading Adams, Westbrook, nor George. They are trying to compete with GS, not go backwards.

he's still an expiring though. So he plays well are you going to pay him? Abrines is more of an asset then he is IMO.

but if we want him I'm sure he wouldn't hold up the deal from OKC point of view.

i'm not picking between them. let's be honest, there's nothing much here and you're not gonna get a pick probably. so take all of them.

ferguson is a lottery pick type asset. I know he went 21 but this was a deep draft and for a while he was considered a lottery type guy. He has potential as a finisher/defender/shooter. He would be the prize in this potential trade. Abrines is like as a dead eye shooter. The rest is just salary filler for me.

Ferguson, I like.

Isn't Adams a mediocre rebounder?

LOL Pages of OKC trades based on a Bill Simmons tweet.

Pages of Kyrie trades based on a trade request list.

Pages and pages and pages of Melo to Houston. 2 yard line tweets. Done deal tweets.

Pages of Melo to Portland.

Just STFU AND GTFO ALREADY! I can't wait for this to end. Hopefully soon. Hopefully a reasonable deal.

I don't want Kyrie unless it's Melo scraps and ONE 1st. No Frank. No Willy.

Everything else...no crap deals. Period.

Otherwise....6th MOY Melo is what i expect.

whats the difference of Melo spending a year or two in OKC or HOU? Most of the time is spent on the road anyways and summers he will be in NY and LA...for a chance to win and compete I see no difference. I actually like the fit better in OKC then HOU to be honest. Adams as a rugged low usage center and roberson a defensive wing works perfectly with OKC's potential big 3.

Yeah I tend to agree the fit may be better, but I think the potential of Harden CP3 and Melo still may be a tad bit higher than OKC's big 3. I also think Adams being a worse rim protector than people think he is could hurt if you plan on playing Melo at the 4. However even though CP is a great defender, I think in terms of defensively that OKC team may be better to fit a Melo in because both Westbrook and PG aren't minuses on that end like Harden is. And in a potential match up with GSW that OKC team would be more equipped to defend them with a little less offensive firepower perhaps. IMO though it's more important to be able to defend GSW well rather than be able to score with them because you're never going to win that game 4 times out of 7. They are too deadly on that end.
