As long as it isn't trash contracts that go longer than Melo's does + some young talent and some sort of pick(s) it won't be a complete disaster.

+Patrick Patterson and Andre Roberson. Thats a strong collection of role players around the 3 stars. I always liked the OKC fit, though i'm not sure how they make the contracts match. Doesnt Melo make like 10 mill more than Kanter?

They have other noncore pieces too to help upp the value.

You realize Melo has an agent for a reason..who talks to other teams regarding trade interest in this situation. I'm pretty sure if this is real (the rumor about expanding), random teams aren't just being named.

I read a few months back that okc was interested in melo. I think the article said they called and asked us about him.

its at an all time high. believe me ive seen a few of these posters doing it since i created my account. theyve been consistently wrong, but just renew the same homerisms at the beginning of every season. their hope and faith is so strong im waiting for some of them to finally snap. its not healthy holding all those horrible seasons, poor coaching, underachieving players,and overall mismanagement in. their going to explode one day. it would be best to not be around when they finally do.

What's wrong with renewing some optimism with a regime change as long as it's founded in realistic expectations?

You are right but Melo fits really really well at the 4 in that team. They have defenders at every position to cover his major weakness. He would spread the floor for Russ. He is a perfect compliment. And they don't even give up core pieces. I think he would be interested in having that discussion.
