ESPN Lottery Mock and Tankathon are messing with me. Today, I've gotten the knicks way more than usual. Got them 3x in a row (#2, #2, #1)

Fair enough but, the second one could have said MOST fans BEFORE the draft around here.

It is what it is. It will be what it will be. I'm rooting like hell for a top 3 pick or, just stay at 9.

I WILL be :vent: :vent: :vent: if we drop to 10...11...12!!

Guys,

There is a thing that came to my head over and over. I think the Knicks would benefit a lot on a branding change.

All times we look at the knicks jerseys or logo, we think about a losing team and mentality.

Nowadays, at least seems that we have a plan in place, and we could change our brand, change our jerseys or even a little the colors to put this players in a really different culture.

I wanna look at the knicks and see a pretty new uniform, young players and a style of play in place.

That would be amazing.

KP
Porter
2019 top 3 pick
Frank

Now that is something to get excited about and very quickly!

MPJ wouldn't excite me at all but that's just me

I asked someone else so figured to ask you as well. maybe I'm missing something. What don't you like about MPJ?

The back is a huge concern, it might be something that affects him for the rest of his career. He's not strong or quick or all that explosive and I don't really like how he moves laterally. I think he's gonna really struggle staying in front of guys on the next level. I know he can shoot but he reminds me a lot of Danillo Gallinari, decent player but nothing special to get excited about.

While I'll root for whomever we Draft, Porter and Carter (more fit worries than skill set) are two at the end of my Draft list right now.

I'm curious to know what i'm missing with him. I see six foot ten SF with handles who can shoot the ball and has great court vision. was projected to be the number 1 pick before the injury. I could def be wrong so please want to hear why you guys don't like him,

If Porter performs badly in predraft workouts but his back is coming along I'd take him at #9 any day of the week and give him the whole season to heal. He's elite talent plus it would insure us another very high pick the following year, when KP will be back at full force:

2019-2020 lineup:

Frank
RJ Barrett
Porter
KP
THJ

Whole season or not that injury isn't something that just heals and goes away with time from my understanding.. his career is a ticking time bomb..

I get what you're saying, but dude there's a difference between Draft workouts & drills and ACTUAL game time when guys are banging into you and your at higher risk of inadvertent injury.

Noah looked GREAT in those Melo gym workouts. Game time was a different story. It's different when no one is guarding you. ;)

KVH & Antwan Jamison. I could be dead wrong, but he could be a Jamison type.

Your lack of faith is not unfounded.

Nice things don't happen 'round here too often.

I'm happy simply if no teams slated after us move up.

Luka would be dope on a lotta levels but I’d side eye the decision some after we’ve been preaching defense, length and athleticism. We said that and Steve spent the money on Tim. Sigh ok. We traded Melo for Kanter and McBuckets who were also the opposite of what we had been preaching. But it was an easy lob once the Houston deal was done and OKC presented themselves as a last minute suitor. Then we traded for Mudiay who looks the part but so far has not defended consistently. So yeah, I want to see consistency and patience with the vision.

But damn that kid looks special lmaoo.

Kuz is way closer to Jamison than MPJr, IMO. KVH has been my rough comparison for MPJr for a little while now, back injuries and everything else included.

I'll be sure to stay busy around 730 so I can come in and check on the disappointment later. Not going to watch or follow it in real time.
